Didn’t Stones do a great job at RB during the treble winning season…

Hopefully the young lad plays cb and Stones with his experience plays RB.

The plan will be to control the game throughout. When we have the ball and pass and move we are in control. We have consistently had small periods where we have lost control or made a mistake which has ended up costing us against Real. We were awful for the first 15 mins of the first leg but got away with it for once but they got their rewards late on instead.

The 4-0 was a 90minute display of control and they couldn't deal with it.

They do their damage when we give the ball away or switch off defensively. They can't do anything if we keep the ball and box them in. And late on they have managed to step up where we have started to make more errors previously. KDB and Haaland on the bench gives us huge weapons from the bench this time around and can benefit from the extra space after our starters run them hard and keep them moving.
Agree with you on the 'control' aspect of the gameplay, I just don't see who is going to create in the starting line-up. Can only imagine the emphasis is on Savinho to beat the full back regularly.

Is anyone else dreading Pep's teamsheet tonight ?

I'm hoping that all 3 new lads start tonight, but I just can't see it, maybe just 1, and that he'll go back to some of the old guard.
You’re hope has come true then;)

Win or lose I am happy with that line-up. Shows that Pep is looking forward.

Haaland obviously not trusted by medical staff to complete the 90, so better to have him as a an option off the bench if the tie is within reach or rest him for Liverpool if that is more sensible.

Looking forward to see if a Gundo freed up by Nico and a rested Bernie can show what they can give us this run-in. Obviously Marmoush, Khus and Nico could all disapoint in a crucial game like this so early into their career but much better to see where we are at with them currently, rather than let the old guard die on their sword as I half expected

Osasuna, Atletico Madrid and Espanyol all got something off Real Madrid in recent weeks...

No reason why we can't win this game tonight. Most importantly get the first goal and take it from there.
We did that last week and it didn't end well.

Lets go out and make it a crazy open game. Nothing to lose after last week.
4-3 City. Extra tine and penalties going our way this time.

Whatever the result, fck CL and Real. So best way to beat the shit from Europe.

100%.

I do think we sometimes play the occasion rather than the game.

This lot have suffered multiple times this season against teams who pale in comparison to even this City team.
