Absolutely outstanding yesterday, and my MotM, despite Omar's hat-trick.

I don’t ever remember John playing at left-sided CB before, though he was only nominally in that position, as he was everywhere.

A brilliant performance by the Barnsley Beckenbauer; he really is a Rolls-Royce of a player,,when fully fit.

Yep he was my man of the match too.superb.

If it is a serious knee injury, which it looks like it is (no contact, knee buckled, immediately put hand up and lay on his back), this could have been his last game in a City shirt.

Unfortunately, his fitness has sabotaged his quality and class and age has caught up with him, too.

He has shown his class within the last few weeks, but he just can’t afford injury after injury after injury.

Rarely misses an England game though. Played 7 consecutive England games last summer. We can't get more than two.

Looked more like groin I thought - didn't see them checking the knee at all
