On Pep this (yet again). There’s seemingly no limit to the number of times he’s intending to play Gundogan and Bernie together this season, despite the fact that they can’t run anymore. Madrid are going past Gundogan at walking speed FFS. We can’t get any sort of foothold in the game cos of those two, with the result that Foden, Savinho and Marmoush are continually isolated.
As for the high line back four, against the quickest attacking quartet on the planet, I’ve seldom seen such stupidity.

Play who instead of either Bernie and/or Gundogan though? De Bruyne is just as fucked physically. Kovacic's form has been erratic. O'Reilly struggled to impose himself against Leyton Orient as did McAtee.

Had zero expectations for this game, had no hope. Pretty much accepted all week it’d take something special to even have a chance of going through.
