The worrying thing is how far we are off this lot. It’s going to take years to get back to where we were. The signings we have made in January are not the right level, it’s going to take 5 or 6 top class signings to sort this out.

Tbh I cannot remember a game since Pep arrived that we have looked so outclassed. We look absolutely shocking. The Arsenal drubbing has nothing on this.

We looked more competitive against the BBC Real Madrid team under Pellegrini

I didn't think we had much chance of going through, but I thought we'd manage more than one shot in 54 minutes (BBC stats) seeing as we had to score two goals.
An Xg of 0.05 is bloody awful however they measure it.

We could have attacked more, but at the same time, losing with 5, 6 (or more) would not exactly do wonders for this team going forward in a game we have no chance of winning anyway. No poing in going all out attack when we clearly are inferior in every way to the opponent this year.
