Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

A fanny who replied to me claiming I am entitled for daring to question Pep and pointing out facts. That suggests he will happily sit and clap whilst questioning nothing. Might be an unhappy clapper for all I know
We are all blues pal and you are entitled to your criticism of whoever in the club you decide needs it......I just think the term "happy clapper" is a bit disrespectful when most of us support City through thick and thin and have done most of our lives.

I'm far from happy today but we are a club in transition and have been for a while but we are not shit. The club deserves loyalty. Last night we got schooled but I think one fan was right. He is prioritising the Liverpool game. I think we will struggle then too though.

This season hasn't been the best but it's been on the cards a while now. We need to adapt and change fast.

The ground expansion isn't being done for nothing and I'm certain things will improve but not this season sadly.

We’re not in transition mate, we’re in the ‘steepest decline of any team in the history of football’. Transition is only for teams that normally play in red………

Which is a normal and composed reply. I'm not having some bell end call me an entitled fucker for talking about Pep's lack of management this season. I have accepted this season is done, I don't think we will win everything and everything season. I was simply talking about Pep's lack of ideas or problem solving this season. Very straight forward and I have all of the facts to back it up. Never called for his head nor demanded we rock up to Madrid and win 5 nil. If that level of performance is all the best manager in the world can muster though, questions need to be asked.

too many of the cunts on here today pal

When do we start talking about Pep?
We never stop. I don't know what you expect when City go to Real Madrid without Haaland and Rodri and lose Stones within a few minutes. City are in transition, we still have Gundogan and KDB rotating between games.

We will have to wait but you can already see the new City if you look. Pep loved his team. He was loyal, but we have already re-assembled a side. Now they need to reach their potential. It's Pep's job to facilitate that, it's your job to watch. How we are because it's going to happen again.

We all saw that shitshow last night, but the tie was lost last week with two shocking fck ups late on.

Media are giving us a good kicking I see, while we are down.

Maybe going out of the cl will do us a favour re our realistic goals for this season (top 4 and fa cup).

There are probably only two teams definitely better than us in the league still so the media can get to fck.

If we cant win the league I dont give a shit which of the two entitled cry baby clubs do.

Beating the dippers at weekend will be huge if we can do it, and a massive boost for us.

At the end of the day, we are where we are. Im looking forwards to Pep sorting it out for next season.

And the BBC says our era is over. So I guess that's it then?

Not so. Football teams aren't built overnight. We saw that in Pep's first 2 seasons. But the re-build is possibly already done in terms of transfers. We won't know until we see how the new players develop. The biggest issue is not the midfield but the defence. Is Khusanov and Reis enough? I am not sure Khusanov is a right back.

The most significant aspect of the game last night was that in a struggling side, Khusanov had a fine game.

Pep says City lack physicality, well Khusanov has it in spades.

I expect to not get battered for about the 7th time this season. I expect the best manager in the world to find solutions to problems, try different ways and constantly look to improve. Not throw Gundog and Bernardo into the lions den. I want him to make subs to have an impact on the game. We was never going through last night, we lost it first leg but there still surely has to be a level of pride and desire. Lose with your head held high, not with your tail between your legs scared of trying something different.

The magic beans are in the ground. They will be nourished by their environment, and they will grow to shock all onlookers.

Still employing the worst set piece coach in England just shows how badly the management at the top has taken its eyes off the ball and settled for 3rd rate. Coaching staff needs a huge overall as aside from the worst set pieces around, we cannot defend, cannot attack, awful fitness levels and injury after injury, we are supposed to have world class training and medical facilities, do we actually use them anymore,
And to add insult to injury that **** gives tickets to his mates which should be going to proper blues. Literally couldn’t be any worse!

As much as it hurts
I have to agree

Pep is only as good as his players. The Ballon D'or winner was injured. The best striker in the world was also injured. And after 5 minutes, City's best defender went off injured.

Sometimes you just have to understand where we are as a football club. If you can't make simple observations, and interpretations about football, God help you when it comes to more complex matters.
