I think it was Rod that acneface fouled and it was a pull so a penalty

It's either blatantly corrupt, and heads should roll, or it's gross negligence, and heads should roll. That cannot be allowed to be the standard of officiating in this country, it is untenable

tbf the team thrid from bottom would still have tomake 12 pts up on them even if they lost that today (Ipswich have 17 pts, utd before todays game have 29, now 30......they aint going down as much as it pains me to say)

I’ve been like that now for a while.

It’s lost itself with VAR and I just can’t watch it much anymore because of it.

Yeh that’s it,I only watch the odd game bar City whereas before I was glued to it constantly.

Yup he did do it an awful lot at one point....seemingly less at present but yes I agree. Some players are very good at getting away with it.

Anybody who questions that the game and officials are not bent watch the last 20 minutes of this game
How Slab head didn't get a yellow for that foul and the free kick given then re-given and goal

Michael Owen was livid with the decision. He also partly blamed the ref for not asking if there were any other angles.

In rugby league, the Video Ref always asks, ‘have we exhausted all angles?’ before a decision is made.

That stupid jump in the air and kick back of his leg was what did for Young though. He made it look like it wasn’t a penalty even though it should have been one.

I’ve no sympathy for the cheating Rag. He’s always been a cheating little rat.

the worse one was the none var review for us vs Madrid the other night...got the free kick which was blantantly inside the penalty area....Not that it would have made any difference

Ironic that Young did that kind of dive for years at the rags and won them points with it

And this is why after games the ref and VAR should be interviewed and telling us the reasons for the decisions they have reached,although that could be stage managed so not 100% we would get the correct answers..

give over...we get soft ones to as well - its swings and roundabouts with this kind of stuff.....the standard or reffing in general is just poor.

If it was upto me all incidents like that wouldnt be a penalty - the game has lost the element of it being a contact sport mostly...I just prefered it when some contact was part of the game....

There is a never any accountability as well, that ref shoukd be made to come out and say why he didn’t give it, if it’s a dive then book Young.

Said it a thousand times, pigmol should have to give both clubs a full match report post game.

It should include recordings and video of all conversations by any officials during the game, inc var, and have a proper reasoning for any decisions taken.

They wont though, cos they want control.
