I did wonder whether Pep might go false 9 for this one. He's taken an entirely different route and gone all 9. Love this team. C'mon City.

With this line-up, there are two options, either we win the game very easily or we get a 4.

You're swapping the workhorses of bernardo/grealish/Alvarez/foden in that team for players that either can't, won't or haven't yet learned to run. It's not close to the same.
Savio has shown an ability to hustle and so has Marmoush. In essence, we are saying Doku is poor at it and Kev is not as intense as he used to be. Id liking that to Mahrez, Sane and Aguero in their time. They weren't the greatest hustlers on the press either.

Im not saying this would be great. Just pointing out its similar to what we've seen before.

People concerned about the starting selection, yet if the transfer forum has its summer purge, then that eleven, minus perhaps de Bruyne, could well be the bones of the squad come August.

The good news is Forest scored three goals so before today's result Newcastle's goal difference seven behind ours.

It's more players playing those positions

Prime Kyle Walker allowed that highline almost singlehandedly. Now we have Lewis who not even half as quick or strong stepping out of position into midfield. Right side wide open vs counters

Ake >>> Gvardiol defensively. Also sat back more making that side a lot better vs counters. Now left side wide open vs counters

Rodri one of the best ever at pinning a team in their own half.

Younger Gundo/Bernie >> Foden who get knocked over when a player brushes his shirt.
Kev is on the edge of the precipice in terms of being completely finished. One step away.
Yea, i agree the players are not the same.
