To be honest I thought we played comparatively well that half. Doku looks fabulous, by the time he beats Arnold 3 times and looks up, he has no one to hit so invariably goes back to edge of area.

I have to say as a long time City supporter since 1969 that some of the comments on here are criticising the team are unbelievable. We all know that the team are nowhere near their best and Pep has accepted that mistakes were made by him in not recruiting new players last summer. In addition injuries and fatigue have taken n their toll. However the club has already taken positive steps to try and remedy the position but this will take time and we have to accept that.

Foden and KDb had the fewest touches in first half. Foden passed to opposition most of the few touches he had.

We’ve played quite well and don’t deserve to be 2-0 down IMO.

That said, this performance kind of sums up are tactical approach. We’ve been better in the middle third of the pitch but created very little up front and made individual mistakes at the back.

I don’t know if it’s a tactical issue or just down to bad luck but it feels we have to be bang at it for 90 minutes on top form just to pinch a win.

We’re always punished for the slightest mistake which makes the game plan redundant.

I watch the game objectively (arguably too objectively) too. Can you tell me who is performing well today. I can see when we're playing badly and do not view everything through sky blue tinted specs.

Doku, Sav and Marmoush all really good that half.

Horrible to have to say this but Kev wouldn’t get in the women’s team he’s that far away from this level now. You can’t have a CM who is that off it in a game like this. Major issue being there’s no one to replace him with as Gundog has gone the same way and Kovacic is mediocre.

No Haaland so we’re having to try and score a perfect false 9 type of goal which is going to very difficult v these.

Both their goals are wank from a defensive perspective and sum us up this season.

We are both playing with false 9s why are they scoring and we aren't.
