Tonight was not the night yo make decisions about any player, least of all the guy who was expected to create and execute on his own. At one point, he was alone on the left wing, with no support and THREE Madrid players on him. He got a throw in. Result!

Sure, he’s great running in behind, but someone had to either put him in early or pull defenders away from the space he could exploit. That was never going to happen tonight.

Had a taste of Haaland's frustrations. Woeful service to him, if there was even any.

Excellent free kick though.

not entirely his fault, look at the team but i don't think he's lived up to the expectations so far, for me at least

I think he will only be useful against teams who don’t sit deep. Another player who thrives in transitions and high lines. Not sure he is the answer

He's way better playing off an actual striker.

Also drifting from the LW and running in is a better use for him to suprise a defense.

I think Doku would prefer this too, rather than being stuck out wide over and over again.

I also think Gvardiol would prefer to overlap down the left as well.

I'm not sure why Pep moved away from this way of playing.

Alvarez was never going to stay so it's pointless wondering what would have been had he stayed.

He was far too good to be back-up to Haaland and not good enough to be a support striker to Haaland in the number 10 or on the wings. It was Edin Dzeko all over again.

Did alright but easier said than done he has got to improve on his offside awarness.

All of the January signings are very Eriksson circa 2007.

Will reserve judgement until next season, but the overall quality of the squad is regressing alarmingly.
