Needs dropping to the bench in the hope he pulls his head out of his arse. Winning the POTY seems to have gone to his head given his performances this season
You'd think he'd lock in after how poor he was at the Euros, but he's just carried on sulking for over half a year at this point.

If he hasn't been benched at all at this point, it's just not going to happen. Unfortunate because we have players who can offer more at the moment rotting on the bench.

said in pre match topic him and KDB cannot start together. one of them doing enough trouble for us but both of them is double trouble. bit self harm set up from Pep...

No idea what the thought was with that lineup against that midfield. Poor Nico got hung out to dry.

Woeful today. Im praying he is just having one of those seasons.

He was meant to be our future. City without KDB is inevitable given his age but if Foden can’t step up, it makes that transition so much more difficult.

At the 87:49 min mark he was giving up on a header vs MacAllister and then ducking out of next header challenge. Didn't score or assist, that's forgivable. But showing zero fight that pissed me off more than the results. MacAllister! He wasn't taking on van Dijk.

I hope that Phil recovers his form and his appetite.

He has been the best English player since his early teens. He has won six league titles, the Champions' League, the treble, the domestic quadruple, and the PFA and Football Writers' POTY. To go again, and again, and again, is something uniquely demanding. I imagine that Pep's intensity is also uniquely demanding.

Phil has NEVER known anything but sporting success. This year is not that, and the true leaders around him, in Rodri, DeBruyne, and DIas, have all been impacted by absence. He is a remarkably gifted footballer, but a human being with a young family, and finding that drive to just keep going looks, this season, to be beyond him. I am sure that every, single blue hopes that he gets his mojo back.
It's easy to critisise him, I've begrudgingly done it myself, not on here though and quite calmly, but you are correct, he's younger than my son, still a kid really and he will get better again, hopefully next season and hopefully with us, I don't care what he does or doesn't do for England though.
