Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

The first 15 pages on this thread are hilarious.

The same posters as always, saying the same over the top rubbish.

We were missing the best striker in the world, the best defensive midfielder in the world and our best defender. Our other best defender is just coming back from injury. Akanji is also injured so that's why he played Rico. We had three new players bedding in.

If liverpool had these same injuries than they would stuggle too.

We've won 4 titles in a row, rather than criticising and abusing these players these posters should be understanding that this is just a down season and a season too far for the ageing players. Rather that saying they're cowards and toothless etc.
Well said.

Shite, knew it'd be shite anyway. I can't wait until we can put this season behind us lol.

I think the score flattered us today, not them.
They were playing well within themselves and pretty much did what we used to do to others - wait for the inevitable couple of goals to come along then see the game out, saving energy for the bigger battles ahead.
The team has definitely lost its identity, with none of the natural fluency and understanding around the pitch that used to seem like second nature.
It's deeper rooted than a few players being past it, and there's a real opportunity - necessity, even - for Pep to show that he can still be considered one of the world's best.
A really strong finish is a must, with the summer being interrupted by the CWC.
If, from this point, we can get to a point where we have a group of players who look as though they enjoy playing together again, that would be an achievement by itself.

Did I watch the same game to some of the Knee-jerk wankers on here? Seems like the cunts who never went to the game have swallowed the Sky narrative which no doubt was how great the cartel cunts were? Fact is, cunts, we rinsed the victim cunts for most of the game and if only we had an end product. FUCK!

Just got back after two train cancellations. Not sure what to make of all that. We are certainly a long way behind that Liverpool side, who like us in previous years had many gears to go through. Definitely game management. One bright spot was Khusanov, who must wonder what on earth he’s walked into. Looks a very good player, and he should finish the season now ready for next. Also think Savio is excellent and going to be a good player for us. Doku would be a good player but has no final ball. It’s not going to be a quick rebuild and not sure if it can be completed by the time Pep leaves. We go again.

Most typical City-Liverpool game ever.

City dominate from the start, Liverpool score against the run of play, on their first attempt, through a lucky, massive deflection (looked like an offside for the corner too).

City continue to dominate, Liverpool score, once again against the run of play. So fucking predictable
When did this last happen?

We have beat them at home a lot in recent years.

Away from home we certainly don’t dominate: They usually piss all over us in the first 20 mins.

And yet wankers perpetuate the Sky narrative. Look at the first post and the next two pages. Cunts who never go, cunts.

Line up vs. Spurs/Nottingham

Silvinho--Marmoush--Doku

Foden

Kovacic--Nico

Gvardiol--Dias--Khusanov--Nunes

You need to be able to run defensively vs. Nottingham/Spurs and Nunes can do that.

Its time to move on from the "old guard". I'll give Kova one more season for coming in later and having a bit more left in the tank.

The issue I have is that Echevari is just another prospect.....like sav, doku, MCatee even Marmoush as he has taken a big step later in his career. We need someone a bit more established who can come in and nske a difference....
Echevari looks exciting but is he a game changer.....sav isn't, doku isn't MCatee isn't and Marmoush looked out of his depth today and vs Madrid
Yes it will be good to see him but I'm not pinning any hopes on him or any of the above for next season either...Same csn ve said about Oscar Bobb.....to some he is like the second coming of Sergio/ David Silva.....but he in reality is just a prosoect
yer but right now id rather have a bunch of prospect than seeing these old players past their time

chilled now since end of game and watched Nobbins youtube video/live stream so no longer feel the need to vent.

we were alright, parts were encouraging but we had sloppy mistakes for the goals and no final output at top.

Realistically some players should not be near the squad never mind the first 11

No output, no creativity, mentally fragile. Could have been out there all night and not scored.

Not even a great Liverpool side, especially considering the sides we've beat in the past.

End the season

You can tell the fake cunts on here when we lose.

Absolutely shite comments. Our final ball was lacking and that was the big difference. We controlled the majority of the game, but once again poor defending cost us. Even in our peak we have given up more chances than we did today against them.

What fucking gears where those? You can be sure if they did, they would have. Our lads gave everything and of course the final ball was lacking but I won't have any **** saying they took it easy!!

A few positives today despite the result and few chances bring created.

Khusanov was very good indeed. His pace and reading of the game thwarted their counter attacks in the 2nd half and dug Ruben Dias out of trouble at the end. Him snd Ake look like our best pairing right now.

Nico did well in front of the defence and played with composure. Could shoot more when he gets a chance though. Give him more support with Kovacic alongside him.

The wingers did well and caused their defence no end of problems. Just need to improve their final ball.

Honestly our biggest problem was our final ball and the direct corners we had no chance of winning. For me Pep made the mistake of playing Foden as the 9 instead of Marmoush. Overall I thought our performance was better than the result. The trouble is these days if you lose you are shite.
