It's very unlikely that everything has gone all at once (passing, technique, vision, legs), maybe I'm being too kind but wouldn't be surprised if he's still struggling with that pelvic injury (didn't he say he couldn't strike the ball properly with it?).

I think Pep was surprisingly open in his presser that we need a squad overhaul, that we missed last summer.

Kev was our hero, he made the difference.
It's over now, he has tortured his body long enough.
City shouldn't offer an extension and I think they won't.
Kev should proudly say good-bye.
Statue.

Wages aren't an issue, couldn't care less. The issue is him taking up a squad place and hardly playing
True, he'd be our Modric.
Unfortunately we don't have the other 22 players to compensate.

Sad to see but he's looking like the boxer who's taking on one too many fights and destroying his legacy.

I agree to some extent, something is clearly still not right because you dont just forget how to kick a ball. His ball striking has been awful and hes too good to not be able to still do that even if his fitness is shot.

Happy to keep him in the squad and get him to his testimonial, so long as he understands that his role will be akin to Yaya's in the Centurions season.
Testimonial ? You have to be kidding with a player on north of 300k a week

I'm not against that but the worry would be Pep. He has a clear blind spot to players who delivered for him and the temptation to keep playing him could be an issue if Kev cant get his passing back.

De Bruyne is a player who needs to be playing regularly to find rhythm and form. Alas, playing regularly is something his body is just increasingly incapable of doing. Difficult decisions lie ahead for both the club and the player.

I mean if he stayed another year and by doing so isn't up to the job. That final year could be a year that destroys his legacy. He's struggling to contribute now and looks like a supersub role is his limit.
Go out near the top.
He’ll always be a legend and one of our greatest players, whether he goes now which I think he will and should, or stays a year as a squad play coming on fot 10/15 minutes here and there. Does’t make the slightest difference to any right minded fan IMO.

Greatest ever City player in my view. But; hope he leaves at the end of the season. Frankly, id have wanted him to leave for a big payday in Saudi last year.

I kinda sad he didn't get that golden payday.

Golden payday, he’s on about £400k a week now

I honestly think that some of our fans have a hard time understanding just how easy it is for footballers to become multi millionaires nowadays.

£20m a year plus bonuses, rights, endorsements etc. Football is fucking crazy.

"Kinda sad..."? KDB and his millionaire peers need 'golden paydays' about as much I need another hole in my arse.

Think of the efficiency of having two holes in your arse, it would free up so much time!

He's literally our greatest ever player and sacrificed his hamstring to help us win the treble after years of being our best player. He's the one player whose legacy is beyond reproach.

If he never completes another pass to a blue shirt his legacy will still be in tact. If the club are stupid enough to give him another year that’s on them. I actually think he’ll want to go and play somewhere else now anyway. Must be so frustrating for him to not only be unable to influence games like he could but to be getting dispossessed easily by players he would have left in his wake for many years.
