Pundits who are actually decent

Really don't like Micah, he is actually embarrasing at times because people will see him as representative of our club. Usually has nothing of value to say and would rather banter and suck up to his collegues.

In contrast, I find that Nedum is fantastic. Well spoken, really personable without the silly antics, calm and considered in the way he communicates. He does the basics really well, he is fairly insightful in his observations / analyses but he could improve in this area.

Over 5 years I've grown from being mildly amused by Lee Dixon to openly hating the sound of his voice. Offers no value and seems to openly hate the club he grew up supporting.

Honestly I'm struggling to come up with genuinely good ones that cover all the bases. I want to hear a pundit who gives insights or angles that I might not have considered from an unbiased perspective and I don't hear that alot from the bobble heads on TV.

For instance, there are times I think Drury is OK, then 11 minutes into the Liverpool match he mentions Khusanov's 'horrible debut' - you mean the horrible first 5 minutes? Did you pay attention to him after that? off-topic but Khusanov was actually brilliant yesterday for someone so early in his career. Made two last ditch stops Salah that probably would have ended in goals otherwise.
 
There are different levels as we all have opinions. Nedum and Joe are excellent, Andy Morrison, Nicky Weaver, Izzy Christianson, Steph Houghton, Clive Allen and Michael Brown are all superb on the City app, in conjunction with Alistair Mann as commentator. They are objective and balanced, sly, twunt and beeb are fking poor.

The hosts on City app including Natalie Pike and spelman don't bring much to the table. Annoys me when they have on the likes of allardyce and David James who manifestly don't give a shit about the club.

Sky's choices are bizarre. Their football pundits are all shite but, for other sports they choose well. NFL, Cricket, Rugby League and Darts are all top notch.

Playing to their audience. It can’t be a coincidence that their pundits chat the shite that you hear down the pub.

Keeps people talking, without ever learning anything.

The lineup yesterday was Mr Angry,money grabbing whore,class fooking clown and a child spitter sums up how shit sky are and what audience they pander to.

For everything that City have done should they not have someone with respect with a high standing in the game somebody who cares for the club rather than a car selling clown who really supports Arsenal ..........still wouldnt deck you if Sky kept him employed to belittle you

Most of our articulate players have either gone on to manage, no longer live in the U.K. or aren’t that long retired.

The other thing that works against us is that we don’t tend to buy egotistical pricks who have the need to blow their own trumpets.

Ideally though, pundits shouldn’t be partisan. That’s a relatively new thing and not one that’s made it better.

Neville does get stuck into the utd but it’s usually with the backdrop of its all the glazers fault,but he’s hopelessly biased when he slips into the it’s Manchester utd we are talking about thinking it should be a given that they should be challenging..

Intelligent, articulate, knowledgeable and neutral pundits wouldn't lower themselves.

Talk shite/Sky aer the Sun/Daily Star of broadcasting.

They are a 'morons, clowns,drunk divers, wife beaters, and spitters only zone'....and their recruitment is most successful, if not the best in the gutter !!

Always used to buy the programme for Buzzer's intelligent and positive read.
 
I saw a headline recently basically saying that Sly's viewing figures have dropped at an alarming rate. I didn't bother reading the rest of it but if it's true then maybe there's hope yet.

I know of a handful of people who have given up their subscription to SlySports because of the rag/dipper love-in and the utterly banal studio pundits (for want of a better word).

Personally I wouldn't have it in my hovel if it were free. It's a disgrace.
