Away fans / tourists in home sections

What was noticeable in the Away end yesterday was the amount of tourists in there as well. The section closest to 111 was full of them . The whole of the Prem has lost its soul
The away end issue is even worse for me. We’ve built up Loyalty Points (or ‘Ticket Points’ that the club changed the name to because they didn’t want to give any credit to the ‘Legacy Fans’ about being loyal supporters of this club) over decades so we can go to away games.

Yet the amount of away games I can get to with those points dwindles every season. I’ve seen or been told of a row of Hajduk Split fans at Anfield, the famous Belgians at Arsenal, an American who paid £550 for her and her son’s ticket in our away end when we played Spurs at Wembley who nearly fainted when my mate told her it’s capped at £30, the famous row of Barça fans at Anfield, the row of Majorcans at Ipswich, the fucking idiot with a United hat on in the City away end at Anfield. Then foreign supporters of the home team were visiting in our away end which is increasing - first I’d noticed was some Germans stood next to me in our away end supoorting Huddersfield, but I’ve been told it even happens at Anfield and Old Trafford now.

And people don’t think our home stands are also swarming with these type tourists?

I’ve seen lads wearing shirts of the Albania National team at the Etihad, Mexico, Hajduk Split again, hundreds of Bahia fans, one game last season an idiot with a Celtic shirt on, even worse some guy with a Liverpool scarf on when we played Bournemouth or someone at home and it wasn’t even a half’n’half scarf from a City-Lpool game it was a full blown Lpool scarf and he was comely obvious to the shit he could have got himself into, River Plate, other shirts/coats with club badges I don’t recognise…

1894 group going on talksport tomorrow about this wont end well. Talksports point will clearly be.....well if your own fans bought the tickets then the away fans wouldn't be able to.

Jordan will have a field day the smug ****

Every club is doing exactly the same. The problem we have is a large percentage of the tickets we allocate to agencies are being bought by tourist fans of opposition ( which is not happening elsewhere ).

Yesterday was a disgrace - there should have been a grovelling apology from City to our support today - but silence.

They won’t be satisfied until every legacy fan sacks their season ticket off.
The club can't apologise as it's partially their fault.

I don't think people need an excuse at this stage. Look around these threads and the experience is so poor I wouldn't blame anyone for skipping matches. And the club are entirely to blame.

If you treat your supporters as customers, expect them to behave like customers.
Bang on!!!
If only we as fans truly held the club to account rather than having a go at other supporters. Everyone has a threshold, wake up before you’re the only ones left in that soulless place.

It needs that level of platform, good or bad slant they try to put on it

This is a really bad idea. A set-up if ever there was one!

They need to point out to the arrogant know-it-all prick that this is happening everywhere now - the bigger clubs are taking the piss and there’s footage in recent weeks of fighting not only at our games but villa Celtic, rags rangers etc. City and others are clearly putting re-sold seasoncard tickets into the hands of people who will pay above the odds for them, yet not admitting it.

If tourists who support opposing teams start to realise they may well get a slap or worse by going to a game it might not quite seem such a great PR exercise by the clubs

Who's representing City.

I hope that they are media trained , know how to suppress hostile, biased questioning, and commanding the narrative.

I that respect they must strongly emphasise that this is an issue at all PL clubs, dippers, arse spuds, chavs, rags etc, and shift the focus away from City otherwise it be cut and pasted as a City fans issue.

Additionally, they should anticipate the question of ' what would you do at your club and across the wider PL.'

Complaining without an alternative will be belittled !!

Reading on twitter that someone has had his season ticket suspended for not selling on the exchange but on other social media
