They might not have bought 3 or 4 thousand tickets in our end but they've definitely bought some Tim and it's irrelevant when Plymouth sold out their allocation. A brief look at their forums shows that Plymouth had a convoluted sales process and as a result of that, some of their fans were spooked into thinking they wouldn't qualify for a ticket so instead bought tickets in our end. Note that there were no restrictions on the cut-off date for becoming a City member in order to buy tickets for this game for ages and it's only in the past couple of days that City are now saying you needed to be a member on or before 9th February (the day before the 5th round draw was made).I agree . I find it strange when Bluemooners tell us there are going to be 3k or 4K of these supoorters or that in our end. Plymouth only sold out their end the other day.
BTW I’ve just heard the American Branch of Plymouth’s Supporters Club have just returned their tickets in 115!
just clicked what the reference was .....thanks ...ha slow today and getting old.Hope they were charged for them
Cops filming all stands now even 107 a few weeks ago. Looking for City fans kicking off with away fans /tourists. It's horrible what's happening at City now.Caution to any Blues, I know from personal experience how your temper can flare in the passion of a football match, but for fucks sake don’t be tempted into violence, those days have gone, cameras everywhere, and it really isn’t worth losing your season ticket, 3 year or lifetime ban and criminal conviction. However it’s a crying fucking shame as we are forced to modify our behaviour that our club are so pathetically amateurish at controlling the sale of tickets to opposition fans. Any club, LIKE CITY, that actively tries to lose its legacy fans at the expense of tourist and opposition fans, has truly lost its soul.
Surely it's not beyond there wit to cancel any tickets sold to new memberships taken out after February 9th for the Plymouth match. They might not have bought 3 or 4 thousand tickets in our end but they've definitely bought some Tim and it's irrelevant when Plymouth sold out their allocation. Yes, there's a letter doing the rounds addressed to a Plymouth fan saying they're cancelling their tickets and those of anyone who has bought with a Plymouth postcode or from the surrounding area but whether they manage to capture all those Plymouth fans who have bought in our end is another matterSurely it's not beyond there wit to cancel any tickets sold to new memberships taken out after February 9th for the Plymouth match.
Or maybe they have done this already.
Well I was replying to somebody who was mentioning the away end being ridiculous.?
Exactly.
Loads in my OS branch who normally go away couldn't go because it was midweek.
I don't see the point in having a go at City fans just because they don't go to a specific (midweek) away game.
Well I was replying to somebody who was mentioning the away end being ridiculous.
Our fans have become accustomed to moaning at tourists and neutrals in our end. I can totally understand it at big away games where tickets are hard to come by. But last night, that wasn't the case. 35k season ticket holders had the chance to buy a ticket for it. Only a small percentage of that number bought so the tickets went to members with no criteria.
So last night isn't the time to criticise "tourists" as they had every right to buy a ticket once it reached their criteria.
With the greatest respect:Plymouth fans on twitter are saying / estimating between 3k and 4k have tickets in our end. Obviously some will get cancelled. Some of them buying up to 4 each.
A lot of stewards quit after sunday. Probably replaced by poorly trained ones for this weekend.
Well over three figures in terms of ejections at the Madrid home game. Only reason wasn’t high hundreds was because not enough manpower.
The guy leathered in 115 sunday said “i’m not a Liverpool fan i just like mo salah” when confronted on why he was filming the liverpool fans celebrating.
Other Liverpool fans lay low in that block and many chucked out based on their accents straight after turnstiles opened.
Respectfully I don't think you understand the way City Matters works. The club aren't coming to meetings and saying "we're looking to reduce season ticket numbers". Half the time it's piecing together the information they do give us and trying to think about the knock on effect.
There are approx 37k season tickets including flexi-gold. Off the top of my head I don't have the break down.
Numbers, as above.
As you will likely know based on press releases from 1894, we don't know how many seats will be allocated to "flexigold" because the club say they haven't made a decision.
Yes - as we stated within our open letters, the club have said that, at present, they have no intention of releasing regular season tickets.
5 match criteria was an attempt to stop any fans in the home end. I'm not sure that's the reason for the apparent increase.
All games on sale - I posted earlier in the thread about it.
Breakdown of the stadium - 37k minus hospitality.
He did say the figure was an estimateWith the greatest respect:
How on earth would somebody on Twitter know that 3000+ Plymouth fans have bought tickets for the City end?
"A lot of stewards quit after Sunday"?
Really?. Evidence of that?
If we are doing that now how fucking thick were we to issue those tickets in the first place? Our club isn’t exactly streetwise!Yes, there's a letter doing the rounds addressed to a Plymouth fan saying they're cancelling their tickets and those of anyone who has bought with a Plymouth postcode or from the surrounding area but whether they manage to capture all those Plymouth fans who have bought in our end is another matter
I know mate. Can only think they thought an allocation of 7800 for Plymouth would be enough to satisfy demand from their fans and while tickets remained on sale in the away section, maybe the club thought none of theirs would buy in our end in the meantime. That's utterly naive. This is a huge game for Plymouth, especially coming off the back of knocking Liverpool out, and they were always capable of shifting well over 10,000 tickets IMOIf we are doing that now how fucking thick were we to issue those tickets in the first place? Our club isn’t exactly streetwise!
Think there's a few fair few being cancelled with PL postcodes. I'm in the Devon branch of the OSC and regular match going blues in the branch have had theirs cancelled due to having a Plymouth postcode. All a bit of a mess that could've been completely avoided by putting the cut of for new memberships the day before the draw, but the club seem hellbent on getting their £35 for new memberships.Yes, there's a letter doing the rounds addressed to a Plymouth fan saying they're cancelling their tickets and those of anyone who has bought with a Plymouth postcode or from the surrounding area but whether they manage to capture all those Plymouth fans who have bought in our end is another matter
They should take their employers to a tribunal for lack of duty of care. Especially with the 100's of complaints from both us fans and reports from the stewards. He did say the figure was an estimate
As for the bit about the stewards, I've heard the same too. And it stands to reason really because a fair few took some digs
