Plymouth Argyle (H) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Best thing about tonight I was surrounded by Madrid fans who’s game was on at the same time in the other side of the bar. They scored and were in mega uproar when they scored and later when Plymouth scored were giving it large. Anyway has the evening drew on and could here me loudly cheering I noticed it had gone a bit quiet there side. They lost too real betis and we won. The rags of spain.

100%. Ragíos.

Really pleased for Nico, two great goals.

I thought the first half was fairly ponderous but for the last 15 mins I thought we played much better, introduction of Haaland and Gonzales really helped with the tempo…

Anyway, into the draw, onwards blues !!!

Our corners show the old adage is true.
If you throw enough shit some sticks : )
We seem to score about 1 in a hundred. At the other end we seem to concede about 1 in 10. No great surprise when you have diddymen trying to defend zonally against lumberjacks who have a run on you. What does our setpiece coach actually do?

He was busy all game but he takes too long to shoot and get his passss away. That will never change now. Everything is a split second too late with him.
He gives me nightmares when he starts running cross field with the ball. If he loses it there or gets fouled and it isn’t given, we’re massively exposed. He usually ends up passing it anyway - something he could have done right away with significantly less risk.

People saying "Plymouth offered stubborn resistance" like they're 10th in the PL or something, lol. They're in the bottom three of the Championship ffs.

Hoped Pep would send a message today. Hoped he'd give Haaland and Marmoush the chance to work on their partnership and blow Plymouth away. There was no reason to make that many changes and we only won the game when we put Haaland on and took the game seriously.

Instead a bad XI created a flat atmosphere that resulted in a flat game. And now any team we play in the QFs will know they can get at us, especially if Pep opts for one of his "creative" selections. The time for Gundogan, Bernardo, and De Bruyne starting together was over weeks ago regardless of the opposition.

God help us if we get drawn away to literally any team left in this cup.

Keep digging

You sound happy.
Always happy when we win pal, but don’t tell me you were impressed with that? we were so slow & predictable & that comes down to pep’s starting 11, how fuckin long have we all been saying that Bernardo doesn’t work out wide? but pep keeps doing it :-/

u need a chill pill......calm doon calm doon lol

Wasn't the cruise it should have been, and although I only saw about an hour, I suspect they scored with their only chance. Never doubted that we'd win,but with a stronger starting XI that would have been four or five nil.
