Just bumped into my Plymouth mate in the hotel said Thats the worse home support all season I tried to make excuses but failed miserably

When you give the most vocal part of your stadium to the away team. What do you expect. I'm a 315., and was in the east stand. And the support was shite. Name me any other club in England that gives their home end to the away team. Fucking madness.

Championship and lower league teams always come with a chip on their shoulder for FA Cup matches. Can’t wait to sing lower league classics like “your support is shit”, “is this a library”, “empty seats” “fire drill” etc. They’ll be telling themselves that if that’s what the Premier League is like they wouldn’t want it, but bottom line is this is their biggest day out for years. For us it’s a chance for some families to get to see City due to cheaper tickets. No Blue is really bothered about these teams, there’s no rivalry and a lot of our stadium doesn’t sing at the best of times, so we’re hardly likely to be bouncing for this match. Oh and of course one of the few areas that might have been singing has been given up to these away fans and they can’t hear the lower tier from there, which is where the little noise on a day like today would be coming from. They really shouldn’t delude themselves. Apart from their big day today, City would outnumber and make more noise at any away ground, even if we were in League Two.

Our fan base summed up I thought it was shocking we are getting giddy from where we come from totally entitled these days

It was shocking tonight, it’s almost like we’ve talked ourselves into being quiet and apathetic. Tbf the Plymouth fans were very loud. Dont think we had a single song first half

Plymouth fans were decent, no different to any other lower league club on their big day out though. City supporters were made up of many kids watching their first ever match. Not great for atmosphere, but they are the future .
Not many kids sat in 107 mainly moaning Minnie’s saying how crap jack was

I don't give a fuck. It was a lower league clubs big day out after beating Liverpool. We won the match easily and now save our vocal energy for when it is really required.

Today's experience/atmosphere UNDERSCORES why SSL3 must become an exclusive City end for ALL games.

It's where the best atmosphere/most noise will be generated from.

Cup tie away fans should get SSL1.

They may be visible on TV, however visibility doesn't make an atmosphere position and mass does.

No compromise to segregation, coach logistics etc, just simply the lowest, non atmospheric, level not the highest, under the acoustic roof.

Why do the club always make decisions that put our fans and team at a disadvantage ??

Absolutely bewildering !!

often thought this myself, only presume its the police

Not sure why people are shocked at the poor atmosphere from our own fans. 2 weeks ago we played the Champions of Europe at home and last night a bottom of the table Championship side.

Almost our second 11, a poor season, and a game where are secondstring went through the motions and won comfortably.

Plymouth had one shot on target and that apart never once looked a threat, if they has come and had a proper go at us then the atmosphere would have been a lot better.

Plymouth fans were brilliant yesterday, didn't stop singing, but gotta remember this was their biggest game for years, an away game at the current Premier league holders, they travelled in numbers for their big day out and they enjoyed it, fair play to them.
I thought our support was subdued.

And probably been on the beer since mid morning

I got in the ground 5 minutes before ko after doing 2 tip runs… hardly the kind of stuff that’s gonna work me up into a frenzy
