Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

It is, although I'm of the mind that we won't see him until next season. Given how this season has gone with injuries I'd take that option every time.
Few shuttle runs and passes is a million miles away from being ready for the intensity of a prem game. Like you say, i'd be amazed if we see him on the pitch this season and unless he is 100% ready which i very much doubt he will be, we wont even contemplate it.

Rodri won’t rush back. He’s an intelligent lad and will be meticulous about returning.
Agreed.

I think we'd all prefer Rodri to take as long as he needs. Personally I think we'll make the Top 4 anyway and get a Champions League place. Hopefully win the FA Cup too.

It will be excellent to have a refreshed fully fit Rodri next season. Then it's game on.

I bet Pep is relishing these moments. He's working with Rodri, Echeverri and Haaland, and soon it will be together on one training pitch.

Get him ready for next season.
Stones ,Akanji & Ake prime examples of players playing when unfit, not ready to & now out with long term injurys .
The decision should be made by the medical staff not the manager or player

Don't mind him returning early so long as it's managed and with the aim of building up his match fitness before pre season. No way should he be thrown back into his old workload this season. Shouldn't be starting any Cup Finals either. I'd rather not win anything and have a fit Rodri for next year than lose him again.

Good post bar the last sentence,I don’t think the medical staff have covered themselves in glory this season ..

The question that should be asked is .. Do we need ?

FA CUP, TOP 4, there should be enough in the squad to cover them 2, Then we have the FIFA CWC in mid June.
City's main aim is a top 4 place right now, the FA Cup is a bonus if can keep winning in it, I would say City really don't need Rodri to nail down a top-four place so why take the chance.

The FIFA CWC is a joke and should be scrapped, But we have to play in it, So we could use it for Rodri to get match-fit and ready for the new season

FA Cup the absolute priority for me, no messing about get practising with those weird balls.

I think pep has been pushing very hard to get players back on to the pitch

We slipped up in the summer with too few bodies

If we can hold onto top 4 and manage to win the cup, I'd say we can call this a good season. Would also calm my bitterness from handing the cup to the arrogant neighbors last season.

Sadly the club now see it 3rd choice at best

I am with you on the FA cup, it should be all our eggs into the fa cup basket, but a top 4th place or bust is how the club see it,

I think the hope is he will be fit for the CWC. Our owners will see this as the priority competition because of the international prestige and exposure as the winners of the first competition.
