I would stay on International Drive, anywhere between the Hilton Garden Inn, 5877 American Way and the Hyatt Regency, 9801 International Dr. It’s a 1 hour walk between these two and there’s 50 bars, restaurants & entertainment places. There’s also a trolley bus to jump on/off instead of walking. It is tourist central, some a little tacky, but everything is there. I would guess City will be at the Hyatt Regency.

Prices for hotels are creeping up every day. The Hampton Inn near Universal Blvd & Hampton Inn & Suites International Dr N, are both OK (think Premier Inn) and are +/- 130 quid per night. That’s probably the sweet spot for pricing, as less than 100 quid will be like a ropey Travelodge :O

The down town area is further North. 15 mins in an Uber. It’s OK, but a lot less to see & do compared to the International Drive area, called I-Drive by the locals.

It would be the pinnacle of supporting MCFC ( first match 1970 City 1 - whu 5 ) to watch us play either Boca or River in a competitive match . Ive been to both stadiums and the atmosphere is historic . btw, the beer , wine & women over there are pretty historic too. Anyone who disses this tournament is a complete R Sole .

It is being played in the USA where City are already the most-watched team and is being backed by the US government. I see it superseding the Champions League by my life's end. We need to be known for winning this as RM are the European cup.
 
But it stinks that FIFA's $1bn includes payments to notable clubs who don't even qualify. The red cartel get paid for nothing.

Of course we want to win it but we won't be playing half fit or exhausted players in it. It's gonna be a swansong for our veterans and a chance to blood some of our new signings and young prospects while making a load of money. It will be miles better than a Summer with an international tournament.

Might even get some good old fashioned local friendlies before the new season for a change.

We suffered after the euros more than most, England outfield player in the PL with the most appearances, Foden, Stones, Walker, and then Rodri went the whole way too. It helped wipe out our season and no chance to recover until 2027. 4 years solid and no real break.

Club World Cup: Fifa give to $1bn prize money as Europe nears deal

Fifa is set to give more than $1bn in prize money to clubs, which is believed to be a record sum, for its summer Club World Cup.

Fifa is set to give more than $1bn in prize money to clubs participating in the Club World Cup as the European Club Association (ECA), negotiating on behalf of clubs in Europe including Chelsea and Manchester City, closes in on a deal.

Multiple sources have confirmed to BBC Sport that the 32 clubs involved, including 12 European clubs, will split what is anticipated to be the biggest prize in club football across a seven-match format.

It is partly based on the $1bn exclusive global TV deal agreed with sports streaming service DAZN in December.
 
Obviously a tongue in cheek thread, but Pep could still find a way to have them raging, despite us having a nightmare season! (I hope they don't win it, but imagine them winning the Champions League) and then having to watch City represent UEFA (and potentially win £250m) in the Club World Cup, Despite them being European Royalty

Its funny as fuck that City could earn more in prize money for winning this club world cup than the cost for the whole City Football academy, or what the Sheik originally bought the club for!

Imagine the piss boiling if we played them in the Charity Shield with the new world champions badge on our kit!

Stones, Akanji and Ake are basically out for the league season. Add in Rodri and Bobb who should be back then and we have half a team right there for the tournament.
