Heard from a good source again and considering the FA like to shaft us I wouldn’t be suprised
It makes sense that the fans with the furthest to travel should be playing at the most inconvenient time for the them. Last train home that day is 18.40, game finishes in normal time around 6.20 - 6.25, train station nearly two miles away so you would have to have a cab waiting and hope to arrive at the station just in time otherwise you are kipping on the beach or drive back arriving home around midnight. It also means moving the Bournemouth v Ipswich game inconveniencing any Ipswich fans who had booked hotels, travel etc

that's if there is no extra time and pens

Not the worst playing on sunday. Gives the players reporting back from overseas on the international break an extra day and Pep an extra day with them to prep. Over to you City - huge game for us this; we need to go back to Wembley and put right that nonsense of last May.

Agree the fixture time is bloody awful for the match going fan - sadly the match going fan is absolutely the last consideration of any powers that be in modern football. They dont give a monkeys chuff about us.

Just complete contempt for matchgoing fans. Even playing it at 4pm instead 4.30 would be a massive help for people getting that last train to Manchester but I doubt they even gave fans a second's thought

Game against Ipswich has moved to the Wednesday
So possibly inconvenienced the travelling Ipswich fans too who may have already made plans.

Mad that they can put two london teams playing each other where they can all get home in under an hour at midday on Saturday and a game where the away team has the furthest to travel of all the games as the late kick off on the Sunday
