Away fans / tourists in home sections

Top work Alex
Why do we give 550 tickets to these companies, these companies dont care who buys the tickets and this is why away fans can get these tickets, the club will care if there is a bad incident and the premier league closes part of the ground

No idea. My guess would be that it’s an easy way to generate extra revenue. Hopefully, the Club now realise it’s fools gold.

I’ve mentioned the high number of no shows on here before, as well transferred and listed tickets. Some posters were in disbelief but there you go.

It's not the no shows that are amazing, it's the no shows in complete rows or blocks that's incredible.

If you believe the figure of 550 between 8 agencies then you’re thick as mince.

Why give them any?

Nothing about away ticket sales. Staggering that nearly 3k SC holders don't transfer to family and friends or list on the exchange. I wonder if the club contacts these people and asks the reasons why the ticket wasn't used. Obviously it could be something as awful as a death in the family or even the death of the SC holder so the club will have to tread carefully but surely some research should be undertaken as to why on average this many people don't attend or let someone else use the ticket. That's basic stuff to undertake if the club really wanted to. I wonder if there is an option whereby three hours before ko, local families can be contacted and told that there are free tickets available for a game. SC holders who don't want the hassle of listing the tickets or have anyone to transfer can tick an option online so the club know that these tickets can be released to locals FOC

37K SC holders, I could have sworn the figure given out before Covid was 36k and plenty on here had said we have lost 5k since then that haven't been replaced. Who is telling the truth?

The club distort the truth to suit their agenda

My phone often doesn't work and stewards let me in.....is that counted as a no show?

There must be many others that this happens to ?

Think it must be an error and that will be 550 tickets from an away allocation (before players, Supporters clubs, owners, hospitality & sponsors)

They think we were born yesterday!
68 tickets per agencie ha ha

I bet there is more than 550 tickets given to these 3rd party sites at the back of level 3 of the East Stand alone

(The same tickets that seem to always be available on the 2nd batch of ticket sales 3 days before the game - basically what the 3rd party sites can’t sell for £350.00+)

Some interesting facts and points raised, but we need more context and comparison with other PL clubs to measure whether it's a general trend or something specifically related to City.

We've all seen United laughably declare 73,000+ despite visible empty seats.

What percentage of their regulars don't attend?
What percentage of their regulars are using seasoncards in someone else's name?
How was Feyenoord in our end any different to Rangers celebrating in their end?
Is their allocation for away games better or worse than ours?

The people who don’t turn up regularly probably wouldn’t click on any City system. They are an easy excuse for the Club’s hierarchy to think people don’t turn up when they’ve paid for tickets, so tickets can’t be too expensive. They are an inflationary pressure.

There will be a small number of emergencies like you say but nothing in that magnitude.

Happened to me nearly every other home game since the poxy mobile tickets were introduced.
They finaly gave me an old style physical seasoncard this season, not without a lot of hassle and visits and phone calls to the ticket counter mind.
I still got an email about the 14 game minimum attendance after the first home game when the steward let me in but obviously went down as a non attendance.

Me too. The NFC doesn’t work on my iPhone. I’ve got a e ticket but it’s got a QR code on it like it did before they went fully NFC.

I'm sorry but that figure of 3k AVERAGE no shows (excluding tickets that are listed on the exchange and do not sell) per game is absolute nonsense. Just a blatant lie by the club.

That's the entire away end's worth of empty seats for EVERY game? No chance... Not buying it. The only way it would even be close to the truth is if they're including cup games.

Just a poor attempt to turn City fans against each other.
