MEN reporting we have won the race for this kid. Very highly rated and hopefully one who will become a star for us.

Jeremy Monga is no different, as he has been compared to Vinicius Jr and Jeremy Doku by scout Jacek Kulig.

no pressure then kid.

Just came on to make his premier league debut tonight against Newcastle.

They've given him a sniff of the first team, I could understand if he'd want more of that rather than coming to us and going back to the under 18s.
Agreed. Though I looked at the list of youngest PL players of all time and he'd be silly to get carried away just yet. Reece Oxford, Mcsheffrey, Jose Baxter, etc.

Leicester have done it purely to keep him and will be able to offer him first team football in the championship.

However, look at our record with the best U16 players. Most go onto have top careers around the world. He should come and hone his game at the CFA and see where it takes him. Even if it involves a bit of patience.

We'd have to sell him a vision of a route to the first team, and he'd have to compete with probably 4 or 5 of a similar level to him in position maybe a year or so either way. He'd be in danger of being just another player with us. I think the 'safe' option for him would be to stay where he is, joining us would probably show some pretty big confidence in his own ability long term.

I'd look at it another way. I'd want to learn from the very best and know that even if I didn't make it at City, by the time I'm 18 I'd be equipped to play anywhere.

City don't block moves either and young players get very well looked after. I imagine they'd put him in first team training for a year, while playing for the EDS, then see how he's got on. With a loan being the next option if not first team ready. Then if he wanted to get football elsewhere they'd facilitate a good move.

Getting into our first team is the pinnacle. However, he only has to look at Rogers, Delap, Palmer, etc, etc, to know that he'd be nurtured in the best environment for the rest of his career. He won't have that with the chopping and changing of managers at Leicester.
