The Labour Party

Oh grow up and wisen up ffs.

How would you describe people who cross the chanel in rubber boats, dropping their ID in the sea, to land illegally in a foreign country, with the means to sustain themselves.....no home....no job....no medical insurance....but a startling awareness of how to milk the system.
People.

Well it would be Chanel if they were coming through France

Looking forward to what @Gone for a Burton has to say about the tens of thousands of illegals in UAE that haven’t been apprehended by the properly trained and professionally managed border control authorities. Maybe they’ve been sidetracked locking up an 18 year old British teenager for shagging another 17 year old British teenager whilst on holiday after her parents complained.

posted it for him/her to read

.....or perhaps they are properly trained, professionally managed, and implement the laws without fear nor favour.

The UAEs 'Ten Commandments' are the populations contract with the Union.

Break your contract and you will be sanctioned swiftly......its a very straightforward system resulting in 'crime per capita' at 0.01% !!

Safe & Secure !!
A relative was working in Dubai last year. Unfortunately, and unbeknown to him, his landlord was suspected of dealing drugs. By association my relative was arrested without charge and spent the best part of 8 months sharing a cell with several others. £25000 in legal fees later he was released without any further action. No broken contract but sanctioned anyway.

Oh, and the police investigating were "open to cash payments" to "help" the case get expedited.

I know where I prefer to live!

The odd mistake in the cause of breaking crime.

Remember the false imprisonments in UK ?

Was your relative turning a blind eye ?

Crime as a % of the population in UAE is under 1%. Compare that with Hampshires crime rate.

I live here and there out of choice and there is no comparison. Have you ever lived there ?

Britain is broken beyond repair !!

No he wasn't turning a blind eye. He rented his apartment from the dealer and was arrested purely due to his association. It's a shame he was the victim of the "odd mistake" as that "mistake" nearly broke him both financially and as a human. I suspect the same wouldn't have happened in Hampshire, where the crime rate is 7.7%, the vast proportion of which occurs in Portsmouth and Southampton.

I haven't lived there, and frankly having been there a few times, the first over 25 years ago and the most recent 2020, I wouldn't rush to go back.

100% this.

All I can say is this government did indeed inherit a crock of shit from their predecessors, though exactly the same can be said for 2010 when the Cameron Tories took over from Brown's Labour... exactly the same thing.

And so it will continue forever and a day.

Like you say (politely) Britain is broken beyond repair!! There is no appetite to change the system as those at the top are sitting there raking in their ill-gotten gains and then fucking off.

In what way did the Tories “inherit a crock of shit from Labour “ ? We had just experienced a global Finacial crash …. Nowt to do with Labour …

Covid, inflation due to Russia

You can argue which global incidents hamper a govt with bias or balance I suppose. People will say Blair took over at a great time and then the no more boom and bust became no more than a fantasy. Others will point out the good things they did.

The Tories came in and we had a long period of austerity, a political choice I believe but not now, a neccesity for some reason. The shit hit the fan big time with covid and then inflation. You could definitely say that was out of their hands.

In my view they added to the problems forced upon them

People will now argue the same about this lot.

In summary people will happily ignore their previous stance on judging a government depending on the colour of the rosette, leeway will be selectively given as will angst.

Visionary 'Ruling Families' like Sheikh Mansour's ,can be a fantastic alternative to flawed & broken Western style democracy which is under threat in every European country.

The UAE have used their resources to create world class countries, services, and standards for their citizens, immigrants and visitors.

GB is third world by comparison !!

Emiratis are a minority in their own country. Imagine using them as an example to moan about immigration.

Please emigrate full time and take up sunbathing during Siesta time.
Stupid is as stupid says.

There is NO illegal immigration in the UAE.

I have neither the time nor inclination to help you understand more.

Self education may help you.

Helps if you have shit loads of oil and a tiny population. I'm not even going into how certain sections of society have or would be treated.

But they have nice new shiny buildings though

Yay

The majority of immigration to the UK is legal.

As an authoritarian what's even the point of you having an opinion. Please exercise your values and silence yourself.

For someone who keeps calling people trash I can't think of a better term to describe an authoritarian scumbag who want to dismantle democracy in the UK to emulate a country that practices what amounts to indentured servitude.

Utter lunatic.
Your post should be enshrined as classic example of why citizens should self educate themselves to avoid ignorance and further their knowledge vacuum.

Stupid is as stupid says !!

We also had oil.

They developed their oil industry, invested their revenues then diversified.

The result is phenomenal, ongoing success, and development.

Remarkable vision and energy by the 'familes' of a union which is not yet 60 years old......meanwhile in broken Britain !!
