PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Well just been on X and there is a lot of talk that we have been cleared of the charges.
I know it is X but appears quite a few mentioning it now and the tears are starting to flow from the usual.
If this is true it will break the internet
I am reserving judgement but I still say if the ruling had gone the other way it would have leaked by now.

Non of it is based on anything tangible, unfortunately.

which I can’t fathom. Presumably somebody can only know about the result if they’ve heard it either from the panel (unlikely) or from City or the PL - neither of whom I can assume are going to sit on the result until Easter without announcing it

Have a read through the other 8898 pages, and I'm sure it'll be explained ;)

ps. In some arbitration/cases, decisions get released to the parties early, so they can respond/correct any obvious errors. I genuinely don't know if this is the situation with the PL, but I am sure someone on this thread is aware of the procedure.

pps. Although we could of course have Chinese whispers. Given that no-one wants to say too much, is it possible that someone has just been a bit more positive, that gets compounded by another person, and then a few tell each other, and you end up with lots of "insiders" getting info from "multiple" sources, which is actually just one person saying nothing new?

Not their decision, the panel will publish when they are ready, they won’t care bout who the timing suits. Can you imagine 3 KCs saying to each other ‘now it’s ready lets not publish until Pep hasn’t got a press conference’ ?

Personally (I know others don't agree) I would imagine the panel's job is over when they give the award to the two parties. I doubt they are involved in the publication at all. If the PL doesn't publish in accordance with PL rules, the club can raise a complaint for a rule breach or, more likely, leak it surreptitiously.

Just my opinion. Probably bollocks.

They are involved in the "handing down" of the judgment. Once it is finalised and issued, their role is complete (albeit the initial liability judgment will be a partial final judgment with further decisions to follow.) Also this is not court, the Panel are likely to consult with the parties about their commercial needs as to timing where possible. Very likely any special requirements on timing and distribution of drafts have been discussed with the Chair and the parties are likely to have grown up discussions about the timing of this publication which the rules say "final awards of any Commission, Interim Commission or Appeal Board shall be confirmed publicly and published on the League’s website;"

From anyone remotely reliable or is it just city fans who have seen tolmie's video and got overly excited?

That's just how misinformation spreads, though. Chinese whispers and increasing confidence as it's passed along. They're just doing what we are doing and responding to a vague rumour.

Wasn’t the publishing of the APT award held up for a few weeks by the PL, until an exasperated City threatened to release it unilaterally?

Surely that puts to bed the PL’s ability to have ‘grown up’ discussions and/or a capability to follow their own rules, when the outcome is a ‘loss’ for the PL?

We presumably had 'grown up' discussions about the release of the APT decision too. We still had to threaten to release as they dragged their feet though

I've no idea. It was just a response to somebody who said he hadn't posted on twitter since 2016... or did he mean BM? Who knows
He got the wrong twitter site I think. His has a dash at the end of the address. Yours is the correct one.

If Damocles vouches for him at least we know it isn’t an intentional wind up.

The bloody saga surrounding charges, first in Europe and now here feel it's been going on forever. I'm almost past caring either way. I'm sure once this is over one way or another something else will pop up.
