Hasn’t mentioned the consumption of dogs and cats in a while; maybe he’ll return to the theme. Then someone can post a chart of dog and cat consumption plummeting in the last month and talk about how he gets things done.

That’s exactly my point. What we(the rest of the world) are watching is pure theatre and can see it for the non factually scripted tripe that it is, but regardless, America is taking it which means the rest of the world have to get involved and take action.

This is something some of us pointed out before the election, not just since he was elected.

The American democratic system was already broken but is currently being dismantled and selectively media scripted that everyone else is at fault and we are going to make them toe the line.

It isn't good enough or powerful enough to say that nobody should vote for Trump and so therefore you have to vote Democrat. If I fundamentally dislike gender politics for example then why would I vote for somebody on the polar opposite end of it? To some people on many issues Trump was actually the lesser evil.

We're having the same problem on immigration in the UK. The last government had no idea and the current one doesn't either so they just ignore it. The only party offering some sort of solution is Reform and that's why they're leading the polls. If the status quo remains until the next election (which it probably will) then there is a real possibility that Reform could win power. The same is happening across Europe with the far-right rise and populism.

Biden crafted a bill with Republicans to address the border issue and then saw it get tanked by the Republicans to make Biden look bad and use the issue as leverage in the election. This played out openly and in full view of the public and the credulous idiots still fell for it. There comes a point when you have to simply accept people are fucking morons and will vote for any gibbering idiot.

Reform aren’t offering any solutions. If people having been duped by the lies on Brexit want to swallow another tranche of lies on immigration and get duped again, then go for it. The far right in Europe aren’t offering a solution either and when they get into power, they end up struggling with the same issues every other fucker faces.

Bottom line, if morons want to vote in other morons then please do so. That way I can at least enjoy the moronic twattery that inevitably follows. Morons do not want solutions, or reality. They prefer lies, bluster and stupidity and there isn’t much the rest of us can do about that.

I can agree with that up to the highlighted point. We're watching from afar what actually happens when a right wing moron comes to power, and it's fucking disgusting. I don't really want to watch that anywhere else, and certainly not in my own country

Because too many voters won’t consider someone who isn’t a straight white male regardless of ability is I think the point. If you aren’t a SWM, the new GOP narrative is that you’re a DEI hire . . . but only if you’re a Democrat. If Trump brings a non-SWM on board, then it’s “See? You said Trump was prejudiced.”
