The underlying reason is still positive i.e., the agents/advisors weren't just negligent and lazy. They did ask questions, and were reassured. That suggests that City's confidence is more than just bravado.

It's still all innuendo and soft signals though.

Surely my question still stands, how can City guarantee anything without knowing the result 100%?

Of course City cant guarantee anything that is out of the clubs control. The club will obviously tell everyone they are confident and that there is nothing to worry about. Anything else would more or less be an admission of guilt.These "news" means absolutely nothing (in either direction).

With that said, until we hear anything else we can still be hopeful of being successful in this case.

Some kind person tipped me off about certain agents asking City for assurances re the current case.

I've done some asking and stood it up.

City, as they did in January, and are now doing in current negotiations for players this summer, are insisting to their clients that there is nothing to be concerned about.

To be honest, I don't know why I didn't think before that agents would be asking those questions.

I was put on to it by a fellow Blue with a contact not far from UEFA HQ.

Not a home run, but a very decent one at this late stage in the game!!

Pretty sure the Radisson hotel group would have been asking the same questions before putting pen to paper this week on the biggest hotel in Manchester

Interesting that agents of players are asking about assurances over the current case,and with it dragging on it has in part achieved again the smear campaign with players wanting assurances before committing to the club,I’m sure those behind this can only hope it gets delayed further as it’s achieved a goal of sorts of creating doubt for players and agents..
