Nottingham Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Seriously?

They got in our box twice, hit the post and scored with the other.

We were fucking toothless so they had no reason to attack.

No one comes out of that well today.
Yeah, you've described a pretty decent defensive performance for most of the game! considering those two things happened after the 70th minute.. wouldnt you say the opponent not entering our box for 70 minute is decent defending?

The best thing we can do is admit the team
Is not good enough.

No excuses. Face the fact it’s shit and anyone who can’t improve has to go.

Anyone.

Don't do that and we are no different to the rags. Earn the right to dominate again.

Excuses will only make the task that much harder.

It’s over.

Get 115 out of the way and khaldoon has some tough decisions to take.
I think we have been admitting that all season lol

Rico did nothing wrong but neither did Nunes.

I agree, however we looked far more dangerous with Nunes on the pitch. I would imagine we have gained far more points/wins in the games where Nunes plays or at least points dropped or gained if subs are made between the two.

Rico wasn’t bad today, but certainly just “meh” which is as good as it gets with him. Also, It just seems whenever Rico starts we almost always loose and when he is brought on we either can’t pull back from losing positions or drop points from a draw or win. Would love to know his point/win average for onfield time.. I imagine it would make horrifying reading.

A defender's best decision is to slow the attack down and narrow the options. Thats generally the best decision. And Gvardiol followed the script correctly
.... as he and the rest have been doing all season, and just look where we are.

I'm not talking about lunging in, all gung-ho, just at least try to close the man down. In other words, doing what other teams do to us.

We'll just have to agree to disagree - if the same tactics start to bring about different results, I'll be the first to accept that you're right :-)

Pep is too conservative. Why are KDB and Gundogan on our bench? They are past it. Put hungry fit players in our squad.
Kev was a breath of fresh air though. He actually knows to move to the next open pocket so he can get s pass. Why our other midfielders don't do that befuddles me.

absolutely ,it´s time to admit that this team is not good enough to win titles and it wont change next season unless city gets 3-4 very good players in.

I've said this before we have to be very careful where we go from here, it really could tip either way. There are similarities to the rag side at the end of Ferguson's reign. An ageing side which was allowed to go on too long. They then spunked shit loads of money on so called proved superstars like Pogba and Sanchez and it failed miserably.
