I don't think the players are doing what Pep wants. Passing is to control and bring the ball. They need to quicken the tempo in the last third and find a better final ball. He says often that it's too slow.
 
We currently lack elite players & performers including Erling.

In previous seasons/eras we've had 6/7 elite players assisted by elite performers.

Little or none now exist.

Good or inconsistent players will not be enough to get us back to being the best team in the PL,CL & world !!

This is not being unkind..... its being factual and pragmatic.

Elite, world class, young talent who are fast,strong,athletic and intelligent are the only answer.

Second rate players will achieve second rate results.......and our owners will not accept second best from coach, team or executives.

Then something has to give ? Play the EDS and youth players if players are not doing what he want's
It's been shocking and when it's bad boy are we bad and the players get a free pass and play next week

would 3 or 4 young players do any worse than Haaland Foden Silva today ?
 
No doubt the boys will get another well-earned three-day mini-break—just enough time for Jack to squeeze in a 24-hour bender, a rehab-and-rehydrate day, and a touch of beauty therapy to freshen up for rondos on Wednesday. Thursday will bring the usual gym photo ops, followed by a bit of shooting practice on Friday.

God help Brighton. We’re going to tear them apart. Hurzeler will probably spend the next six days drilling a low block and fast, direct counter-attacks—like that’s going to work against us. Next Saturday could get ugly.

Continuing to keep Nico O'Reilly on the bench is a fucking farce.

He deserves his chance to be starting in this team and he's proved it in numerous games.

First team players aren't coming up with the performances this season, It's time to play O'Reilly in particular.

Pep waving the flag this season is the one thing I would never think of Pep allowing for one moment.

The best manager in the world allowing 2nd best ? come on please, don't take us for fools

Also, Give Matty Warhurst a go. he looks a great young player
 
teams congest the middle and are quite happy for our wingers to have the ball. So they reduce the goal threat of Haaland and Foden. Our wingers create and score very little. I think Savinho plays better on the left.
I think we defended well for most of the game but what a Shit show for their goal.

I've seen him a couple of times playing for the U-18's but I haven't seen enough of him to say if he should be in the senior team.

Having said that, What harm would it do giving him game time. I'd rather a young lad given the opportunity than watching Phil Foden scratch his nut sack.
 
Teams parking the bus and we don't have the players to deliver the pass to break them down now, terrible combination to watch. Just Doku and Savio and the same rubbish end product. It's like they can't play the simple cross when it's on because its fun to kick it into legs, we have the Brazillian and Belgian Jesus Navas as our only attacking option.

Never through the middle so frustrating. Assume Pep felt the ref was keen to give a 2nd yellow with the first subs but as bad as Foden was, he still carried the only threat and Bernie shouldn't have stayed on.

The shit part is, We were willing to offload him to Chelsea only for Chelsea refused to have the "buy back clause" in his contact.

I'm sure that makes him feel wanted.

Ok we have had a bad run of injuries and bad luck? But today was shocking, don't forget Forest played in midweek in the FA cup and extra time and pens

I agree it's frustrating that he doesn't seem willing to give more opportunities to the young players. I don't think all the older players have "had it" but they can't all play together. Squad definitely needs some regeneration.

Totally agree he could have come at left shifting other 3 to the right, anywhere in midfield as he is full of energy. This would have given us the opportunity to bring KDB and Marmoush on. Without changing the whole of midfield
