He plays like he’s scared of something or stressed the fuck out. People say Pep likes robots, players with no personality. I think that’s a lie because Rodri, Haaland, KDB, Dias ALL have a great personality and mentality. Foden however, is a robot, the guy looks scared of his own shadow. I remember the two games vs Arsenal this season when those dirty fucking Arsenal players were fouling us and cheering in our faces, Foden just stood there and did nothing. Talented player, but you wouldn’t want him by your side during a bar fight.

Another crap game to add the this seasons collection.
He's fallen off a cliff since the Euros and I refuse to believe there isn't a solid reason behind it. He looks disinterested and devoid of belief. After the season he had last year he should have been flying this one.

I'm waiting for him to take games by the scruff of the neck and be the main man, but he just doesn't do it.
He's just been drifting this season and needs to come back in the summer with renewed energy and an attitude to prove he's a top player.

My big concern with him is the fact he has won so much so young.
Not every player has the drive to go season in season out and it's what separates the players that get deemed world class in their era to the games greats.
He has won every trophy in the game pretty much, multi, multi-millionaire and doesn't have anyone in the squad worthy enough of challenging for his position.

People really need to stop using assists as the best measure of creativity.
Your own list ranks Watkins at the top, dont you see how ridiculous that is?
That season, Watkina xA was actually 33% of his assists, which showed his teammates did all the work.
At the very least rank by xA/90 for a fair comparison.
Phil can create more if the system is good, recall the neat Gvardiol 1-2 in the box with blocked shot, did we ever see anybody do that again? We didnt overload at all in this Forest game.
I agree though his shooting is probably even better, and this deeper role where he gets no chances to shoot (Phil always vastly exceeds his xG) is probably not the best system for him.

If Phil is still the same as this season after that, then I think you have to discuss whether or not it's best for both parties to move away from each other.

Dreadful. Had a fair bit of space to work with given the extra attention paid to doku and did absolutely nothing. Constantly standing in spaces where a pass cannot reach him, no desire to turn and drive with the ball or play forward passes when he did get on it. A complete non-entity as a threat today.
It’s utter bullshit mate. He’s playing 2 raw young wingers who both have great so far unfulfilled potential who both look to attack whenever they have the ball. If he wanted just keep the ball he’d play Jack all the time. As you say he always picked KDB before his legs went. Foden is playing like he’s physically about 34 not 24. It’s bizarre to see but definitely nothing to do with Pep. He’s slow as fuck so can’t go past anyone these days

I think the opposition have sussed him out, all left foot, loves to drop the shoulder and do the feint and the go again move before getting his shot off. Looks physically nowhere near it - I mean, he looks small on the pitch. No muscle mass at all, no power, no burst, 50-50s are a no contest. Achieved it all (medals and awards) by such a young age that must be in his psyche "what's there left to achieve?". Young, growing family, more money than he knows what to do with, fancy cars etc. Easy to lose your focus and forget what got you there.

Anything over £100m I’d be tempted to sell Phil. I just think he’s peaked at City last season and he and the club may need to part ways for the good of each other. He’s been a serial winner since 17 years old and has won more trophies than most players could ever dream off and he’s still only 24! Marmoush needs to be given an extended run in there now imo and Phil needs to really try and get his fire back or think about moving on.

KDB, injuries aside, has never had an off year for us. We can't rely on players having off years and hoping they'll come good again eventually.
