Open Letter on Season Tickets and Pricing | Club announce price freeze on "general admission season tickets & PL match tickets" for next season (p163)

Your post still makes no sense. If you don’t want to be a Rep because the club do what they want anyway, there’s no point in trying.
Exactly so just scrap the whole lot we might have to sacrifice the £10 voucher for food and drink in the stadium though

Wasn’t it the season card rep last year that said the increase in prices by the club was justified ?

No, off memory they didn't sign the letter against the rises last year as they were otherwise engaged.. AGAIN. Then they bizarrely expressed that they were happy enough with the price of theirs. Not everybody is getting concessionary half price! Surely the job of a representative is to 'represent' the wider fanbase and not go off personal opinion and their own set of circumstances.

From the outside it doesn't look great however you dress it up. Not signing the letter last year, effectively saying you are happy with the prices, not meeting up again this year and then not refusing to appear at future meetings in solidarity with their City Matters colleagues over the subject of..... SEASON TICKETS... their very own category.

She may be great the rest of the year, but if you aren't going to be available around season ticket renewal time then you shouldn't really be a candidate.

Every rep wastes their time just look at the fiasco that’s going on if you can’t see it you’re as blind as a bat I’m not saying the reps aren’t trying but the club walks over them since city matters started
You've no experience of City Matters, not been to any meetings and presumably have never spoken to any of the reps.

I was there from the start and I'd agree there were lots of times when the club frustrated us by a lack of, or just poor, communication. That was probably our biggest collective bugbear. But we were at least there to tell them that they need to communicate better or were sometimes tone deaf.

But we could and did achieve many things, both collectively for the fans as a group, and for individuals we were able to help who would otherwise have been banging their heads against the Supporter Services wall. But, in your personal or work life you never get everything you want. I used to be a senior union rep and it was a similar experience. A lot of the time involved frustration but sometimes you could effect real change, which makes it worth doing despite the frustration.

But the club now has gone beyond being frustrating, to being downright ignorant and obstructive. So I agree with you that currently it's a really poor situation.

It’s currently a night and day difference though mate. During that period, you were providing regular updates from what you worked on. You even helped get 0% alcohol after it was flagged to you that it wasn’t available in the ground. The work you did was clear, as is the work Alex does.

The new season ticket rep has given an “I’m alright, Jack” response to the previous increase. This time round, she’s once again alarmingly quiet. It’s no wonder fans are becoming disillusioned, not just with the club, but also with the person elected to look after their interests.

Frankly, she should have been binned for refusing to flag a point in the interest of those she’s meant to be standing for, purely because she gets a discounted season ticket.

I get you im
A union rep myself and at least on more serious matter you’ll have most of the work force behind you and you can call strike action if things don’t go they way you want

But here it’s different most supporters will just put up with the shite the clubs hands down maybe that’s because they can afford it,through blind loyalty to the club or it’s a force of habit

The club has season card holders by the balls they couch put price up what ever they want and if they refuse or can’t pay the club be like “ah that’s a pity, see ye”

Was the number of ticket agency sales 550 I’m sure if a 1000 decided not to renew they put that number up to 1,550 I’d say these agencies are constantly asking for more never mind the ones waiting in the wings to accepted by the club

It’s a shit show I’m lucky in a way if a season card. I feel sorry for the ones that can’t and I feel frustrated in the price rises and the constant one wrong move and my ticket is gone

City Matters managed to have a Chelsea fan on its committee a couple of years back so nothing any of them do would be a surprise.

The rep defending ticket prices makes the whole thing an absolute joke.

I can't see Kevin Parker, Angela Worall, or Samantha Gill joining the boycott.

As for the other City Matters Reps yet to join the boycott, who knows.

Those reps that haven't already joined the boycott need to make a statement individually or as a group.

'We VOTED for you all to REPRESENT US!'

We still haven't had a date for the extraordinary meeting on season tickets.

As such, I (along we some of my other City Matters colleagues) will not be taking part in any meetings with the Club until this is resolved. I will however, still be happy to receive emails and will try to deal with any concerns that fans share with me.

Hi all, I am the City Matters rep for the Matchday Members and I have supported my colleagues in not attending other meetings until we see some movement on the pricing and ticketing issues, this is what I put on my Facebook page for the Matchday Members:

Since the letter on ticket prices (contained in an earlier post) was published and sent to the Club over a month ago, there has been no formal reply, only the promise of a meeting to discuss which has not yet materialised. In fairness these are complex issues to deal with fully. We raised, along with the other supporter groups, concerns over season ticket pricing, the nature of season tickets to be offered in the future and in particular Flexi Gold, along with the current and future cost of tickets to Matchday members. Complex, yes, but the Club did not start working on these issues the day the letter was posted and the lack of communication and engagement with City Matters during this time, the key time of year for pricing renewal, is deeply concerning. With this in mind, and along with other City Matters colleagues, I think it appropriate to suspend engagement with the Club on more everyday matters, to allow both parties the time to engage fully on this critical one. We hope this will be done quickly but until it is we will not be attending other working meetings, but will continue to engage fans more generally. Hopefully this gives us all the time and space to concentrate on this one issue, and arrange a full and meaningful discussion on it.

Thank you.

Please, along with the other City Matters Reps who are boycotting talking to the club, contact the other City Matters Reps who have not come out publicly about the boycott.

Regardless if they support the boycott or not, the City fans who voted for them to be our representatives have a right to know whether they have decided to support the boycott or not.

Not the best looking lot. ;-)

Has anyone at CIty Matters told the club to bin platinum and stop having a two tier system?
Do we know how many card holders are on platinum. Surly there’s no point in paying it if you’re on 22k or below

How come Kev Parker got two terms?

I know PB was extended but even he had to give it up eventually so what makes the OSC rep different that the same guy can do multiple terms??

I don’t know. But I’d guess that if the head of the supporters club, automatically gets a place on the committee, they would be exempt from the normal procedures.

It would be a bit pointless having a supporters club rep. when the head of the supporters club was ineligible.

Yes - on a number of occasions. Club don't want to act on it, however.

That's right.

He had to be voted in on the same terms as everyone else, so it shows it up for what it is. There was never any suggestion there would be Permanent Members.

He was MCFC Ticket Office Manager not so long ago, the first season after he left and was replaced by Kevin White there were a lot more tickets available for MU away as he was stricter on points.

I'm not sure why he won't let anyone else have a chance from the OSC, or the club ensure this happens.

You know them better than me, but honestly I can’t stand them these days.I actually hate them for what they’re trying to do.
I feel exactly the same.

I’ll always love City, the team, even if they’re shit. They’re my team and always will be.

But the boardroom… nah! They aren’t City, they’re just temporary employees of our club who could all go and be replaced tomorrow as far as I care since they don’t care about us.

Istanbul car park was the day they lost me. I’ll never have any affinity for any of them ever again. What’s going on now, as much as it angers me and makes me feel really down about the club, doesn’t surprise me one bit. They don’t want us there anymore, and their total disrespect and disdain they hold us in shows it.
