I think over sentimentality of his legacy player, plus he doesn't truly trust his wide players in all aspects of the game tactically and I think ultimately stubbornness.

Pep is going to have to adapt next year..the slow ball retention style has lost its edge and I think a move towards the centurion style is going to have to be favoured.

There's nothing new in it. Pretty tempered by the standards of the times. The carnage relates to the unthinkable, i.e. that City will win! Let's hope we don't have to wait much longer for the decisions. Then no doubt that will still not be the end.

He reminded me of the Iraqi commander during the Gulf War.

Bombs going off around him, buildings in ruins and he was on tv telling everyone that Iraq was defeating the US.
 
Whilst some may be taking the piss out of the scruffy Jim interviews - it’s been a PR victory for him.

There was a demonstration at Old Trafford on Sunday against him and the Glazers - all forgotten about already.

In his various interviews yesterday he even confirmed ticket prices will go up - but all swallowed by the media and their supporters as a requirement for them to be the best in the world !!!

Utd have been a car crash since he took over yet he is winning the PR battle.

Compare that to our PR shitshow. Radio silence whilst we have potshots daily from every media outlet.

PR is easy when you are preaching to idiots who want to believe what he is saying, the red idiots are just practicing confirmation bias, they need to believe they are on the right track, they need to believe that it isnt their fault and they will be where they think they belong and soon and he is feeding them bullshit and lapping it up, look at it objectively he has been there a year and NOTHING has improved if anything they have gone backwards and still they think he is the man because they need to believe that he is, just like they need to believe that we are guilty it feeds them and the media play on that.

Whatever city did wouldnt make one jot of difference in the grand scheme of things, the press would still be the same and people would spin anything we said as us trying to fend off our guilt and we all know that, city play a different game than that.

I’m sorry but staying silent and basically not giving any media access for over a decade is not the way to win hearts and minds.

Ratcliffe is a media whore - but he has managed to switch the narrative from demonstrations on Sunday to a fawning press and supporters in less than 24 hours. Sorriano has not spoken to the English media since he took the job.

We are building the biggest hotel in Manchester and a fantastic new stand and fan area, yet anybody in country that hasn’t seen it in person would not have a clue that there has been an spade in the ground.

We see almost daily updates on the new Wembley of the north.

90% of sports journos media outlets just aren't interested in anything positive.

Ratcliffe could shit on Amorim's seat and he'll have journos fighting over who gets to write up what a great thing it is.

City TV had Paul Robinson as a special guest for a game - last season I think. It was all lovey-dovey in the studio, and then a week or 2 later he was telling another outlet how he hoped City woulkd get a severe punishment over 115. Whoever's running the media operation should be shot. Letting the City coverage get out of hand has brought us to where we are now.

Agree that Scruffy Jim has changed, very quickly, the media onslaught from the Trafford Tramps. Previously nobody knew what Edward Woodward sounded like ?
Surely all journalists need "content" and interviews.
Scruffy Jim is doing this weekly, especially with the new ground, where he even got Andy Burnham involved.
FFS, it's the first "story" just now on the Radio 2 news, complete with The Rat name-checked.
However, egotists like Scruffy Jim often love the limelight so much, that they may/probably will, feck things up.
But, the silence from City, with all the positive developments, is deafening !!!
