City fans will obviously, take the piss out of the Trafford Tramps and their current mammoth mess.
But, it's like pissing in the windin the wider world.
Who in the general media, has challenged Scruffy Jim about this "pie in the sky project", when he is continually cutting corners and penny pinching ?
Our main hope is Scruffy Jim himself. The BBC treat him like some sort of visionary god.
He is such a charlatan and egotist, he must trip himself up ?
They pander to loons they want United at the top they dont want news on fan protests etc ........like someone aluded to how can a club losing money year upon year with a 1 billion debt ????? With a playing squad that probably needs at least a billion spending on it to make it competìive ??????
Can suddenly find 2 billion to build a new ground ?????

Sorry to me its all pie in the sky and why should they get any funding when they have blown money left right and centre for decades

Before we start handing rosettes out to our board it’s worth remembering that we have been waiting for 2 years to find out if the we will be relegated over their actions.

Look at the coverage Utd will get today over their new stadium design. It will be all over every media platform and television station for days.

Meanwhile our secret hotel and stand is half built and being completely ignored. When it’s completed it will be compared unfavourably to the future OT plans. That’s disastrous PR in my book.

You don’t have to be a Mike Ashley - you can be a competent CEO and still talk to the media and bang the drum for your organisation.

Ratcliffe is a first class **** but he has played the last 2 days perfectly.
Spot-on. To the best of my knowledge Khaldoon has done only a couple of interviews to the business media in the US and Gulf where he mentioned CFG. The sad thing is he is a brilliant inspirational speaker who comes across well on TV. Despite the obvious bias in the UK media I really believe he could have made a big difference to the way the club is perceived.

Well back to smooth radio tomorrow. Don't think I could stomach another day of BBC Radio Manchester after today's non stop barrage. If I had DAB in the car I would try Boom radio.;-)

Not a chance, for the below reasons:

- He's brown
- He's Muslim
- He's neither English nor American
- He isn't align to a red shirt club
- He is the Chairman of Manchester City.

To most of the UK media that makes him very much not worthy of talking up or listening to.

This is the Jim whose Ineos group are £10 billion in debt?

They tend to hold the government to ransom as they produce the chlorine that all the other chemical companies need.
Well I’m not sure they’re doing a very good job of holding anyone to ransom with debts like that, but what do I know.

Exactly ! We have Micah Richards as a club ambassador !! A bloke that cheers on Arsenal against us.

Staying silent over Istanbul.

The CEO not speaking to any UK media for a decade.

The list is endless.

I’m sure we have capable PR team that are instructed from above to do nothing that might actually help our reputation.
We don't have Micah Richards as a club ambassador. Sly Sports do...... and it serves them well. The idiot will say and do anything they want him to.

The reason our CEO doesn't engage with the British media is because he's got nothing other than contempt for them.

Our owners are brown and successful and there is not a PR company on the planet that can change the opinion of the British mentality.

The British football fraternity, backed by the broadcasting media have set the narrative that teams that play in red are wholesome and those in blue are charlatans. They've also convinced themselves that American owned clubs are good for the game and owners like Sheikh Mansour are a scourge on society (and their profit margins).

MCFC are beyond media intervention. The real power comes from ongoing success on and off the pitch. We're in good hands and once the negative media news stories become boring and the relentless onslaughts are seen for what they are, the masses will want to get on board because they are desperate to associate themselves with success. That paradigm shift will change everything and will become a blessing and a curse for the club.

So relax and enjoy the journey. MCFC are on the right trajectory, while our neighbours dig themselves further into debt to build their new circus we're going to build a dynasty and unlike those media whores they'll not see us coming.

Will they even fill it ?? another 5 years of fighting midtable at best would mean running losses and lost revenues
Arsenal will say its been over 20 years since they last won the title and was down to the new stadium cost

To be fair Arsenal had to pay for theirs, scruffy Jim is going to use every scam in the book to get it on the cheap ;-)
