I (sort of) retired it a few years ago, but honestly wish I’d held it back! It’s definitely come of age!

Actually came to me from my best mate who is is sales, and has been for over 20 years (and nearly as good a salesman as me) who told me that this phrase was actually being championed at a sales conference he was at.

It became a mutual catchphrase between us for a few months, before he got bored, and I elected instead to bore everyone on here with it!

How do you illegally boycott a product by exercising your rights as a consumer to not buy it?

Leavitt does like her visual aids, doesn't she? I'm sure if anyone could see the disclaimers, then the 200% or whatever she claimed that Canada is imposing on dairy products might be a valid claim.

However, it's wilfully misleading, and without the disclaimers, it's a lie.

Tariffs on dairy from US to Canada? Generally 0%. A bit less than 200% then.
What there is is an agreed level up to which tariffs are 0%; above that, it can be 200%.
Current closeness to those agreed cutoff levels? Nope. Milk is <50% of the level.

As for the deal that fixed those levels, it must have been signed under a complete numpty. You can call him Trump.

Oh, and Canada through legislation doesn't produce enough dairy to come anywhere near the tariff point, and it's only there so all of their dairy doesn't vanish across the border.
Almost by design...

So let me see if I have this right…

25% tariffs on EVERYTHING (including food, utilities, medicines etc.) = fair game

25% tariffs specifically on electricity = somehow unconscionable

Make it make sense.
