This season Liverpool have been decent, i said in a previous post that the stars may have been aligning for them because everything was going their way, but it caught up to them last night. I do have to say that i thought PSG were excellent, their midfield looked exactly how City's has been the last few years and that, combined with the pace and addition of the Kvarat has really propelled them. Vitinha looked brilliant last night, and Jaoa Neves just showed us how braindead we were not to get him in to replace Gundo when we could.
But it just goes to show how poor the PL has been this season, and i'm talking at elite level because mid-tier and to elite have been really good between themselves - proof with Forest being where they are. Liverpool have been the most stable and that's based of a couple seasons of being shite and affording time to bed in some players.

I think the elite look lower level than the other elite in other leagues because of the technical level.

You look at Madrid,Barca, PSG and Bayern their whole team are technical especially their midfields. I feel the prem elite have pushed for Athleticism and strength over technical ability.

Liverpool have a bunch of runners in the middle , PSG have a midfield of technical sound players and they played rings around them rondos at times at PSG’s ground. Arsenal the same Rice and Partey are athletic and strong but not technical.

Same with us our recruitment in the middle has lacked technical players , Kalvin , Nunes are not technical players like a prime Gundo or a David Silva.
