baffles me how they have put a cost on it that's all , looks like theyve got the person on it who bought Zirkzee, Spotty Muldoon and Antony's purchases
i get that...the cost is based at this stage on what they think they can raise in finance. ( they can probably get more, but you don't show your hand too early, in case the Architects go mad on the gold tap specs)...i think its also safe to say that a £2 bill projection is optimistic at best...and also safe to say, as I have said before, that this is just a show reel to put Middle Eastern potential buyers at full pickle.

Seem to be unable to escape the crying rags no matter where I go but I found this piece to be particularly masturbatory.

They were perfectly happy for rich owners to step in and set them apart from the competition in the 90s and early 2000s when they were at their peak. Now as soon as the unfathomable amount of cash pumped into their club isn't winning them anything of note it's all "football's all about money these days so I lost interest".

No, you lost interest because you're shite and entitled.

Designed by Homer Simpson made me piss…..

If anyone remembers the episode, Homers long lost billionaire brother allows Homer to design a car, so ghastly it ruins him.

Does make you wonder if scruffy is just a puppet for the Glazers, the negotiator

could be Jim is 'bearding' for the Glazers yeah. Maybe the jewish Americans don't want to be seen to be selling their cash cow to the Arabs...after all, they are a tad reluctant to hand over bits of the West Bank...

So much to question on this.

1) where are the funds coming from
2) where is the land acquired to build this
3) what is this “south Manchester regeneration project” that is continuously mentioned by Jim
4) why are they “floating” the segments of stadium down the canal? Where are they being built to throw such a claim
1) Ineos, private investors, sponsors, developers and taxpayers.
2) Owned by MUFC, apart from the freight terminal.
3) One of the largest re-generation projects in Europe.
4) This is a carbon copy of what they did in the Qatar world cup, they fabricated huge sections of the stadiums, and then fitted them together like a Meccano set. There will be a large factory near the ship canal, that will be able to manufacture the sections. They will need a large crane at wharfside for this.

Anyone who has a brain knows that for even a simple building project you need to include a 10% contingency amount and that the contingency fund is invariably spent and often exceeded.

A job like this - fuck knows. It could easily cost twice the estimate especially if you allow for all the uncertainties in the world. If the odd billion is neither here nor there to you in the scheme of things, this is no big deal. If you're up to your eyes in debt it's a very big deal indeed.

This looks like a very high-stakes roll of the dice to me. It only makes sense because they know they have a huge captive audience of mugs who will keep coughing up, despite the odd protest by hundreds of scruffs.

The Mirror seem to be suggesting the rags want to use the Etihad while Salford is a building site.

My initial reaction is of course get to fuck, but I wouldn’t put it past the soulless accountants at City to be receptive to the idea.

10%?! Bloody hell and the rest.

Have you seen what the town hall or the Aviva Studios arts centre in Manchester went over by? Both recent large developments that went over budget by obscene amounts.

If 1 was the case, they'd have said already how it was being funded. They don't have a plan in place because it doesn't make economic sense.

Begs the question as to why we didn’t use the Rochdale canal for our new stand…

I did say at least 10% for a simple project. E.g. refitting your kitchen/bathroom.

The Town Hall is complex as it's a listed building so everything costs silly amounts. OT won't have to worry about that, as it's a shithole and not in need of conservation. But as I said, fuck knows what the outturn price of a huge job like this will be at a time of international uncertainty and trade wars. It's anyone's guess. I guarantee it will be more than the estimate and if they get it done for less than 50% on top that will be a good achievement.

Just shifting that rail facility is going to be big bucks, and it's annoying as it will be public money and all that we gain from it is the shifting of jobs out of Greater Manchester to the Newton/St Helens area plus the freeing up of one train path an hour through the Oxford Road corridor. Big deal!

The QS must have a crystal ball then, if he knows material and labour costs 5 years prior to a build!
In my experience, and in the current climate, a QS struggles to accurately assess costs 6-12 months ahead given how volatile material and labour costs have been. Not an easy task and I suspect mitigated by fixed price contracts and cost-overrun guarantees from the developer.

I'd hope we'd fleece them if we did. They certainly wouldn't do us any favours. Actually scrap that fuck em.
Maybe Ratboy will let them play at his ground or better still Carrington.

Developers will be falling over themselves to get on this. Sponsors will want in as well. Naming rights must be worth half a billion. And Ineos have a combined wealth of 68bn. I'm sure they could stump up the shortfall, for more shares in the club.

If you think about it. Scruffy Jim is already in his 70's. When this stadium is proposed to be finished, he will be 77. So it wouldn't surprise me if he went all in and it became the INEOS arena. They can't bury him with all that money, but this sort of legacy could massage his ego in perpetuity.

Sounds like shit stirring to me, who in the right mind would allow a major competitor , allowing them a leg up and pull them out of the shit? This isn't the second world war anymore where the club felt obliged to help the "neighbour" out.
City for me go and fuck themselves if it happens, will be the last time ill ever go to a game.

They can get fucked, those dirty red twats using our facilities!

I agree mate and it probably is nonsense but it's the kind of commercial arrangement that I can see Khaldoon rubbing his hands together for.

So lets get it straight , the scuffy one goes on tv after purchasing a minority share and announces to the world media that he " wants to knock City off their perch " and so now City will be compliant in helping him do that by letting them play at The Etihad ?? Dream on scruffy Dream on !!

No problem sharing the Ethiad

It's £115 million for the season and it's no fans allowed.
