Ok Marvin, it’s a fair cop. I shouldn’t have joined the forum on the day it started. It’s been a hellava run.Not as uneasy as you utdmad. You are 14th.
How exactly does this fit in with the 115 charges thread ???Blasphemy, I know, but I think it’s an impressive looking plan that will siphon big games and big events away from the Etihad and the pockets of our club. THAT may help their FFP/PSR to our detriment, especially when it gets a Champions League Final as soon as it’s built!
I actually think that having the roofline pulled over exterior sections of the ground will provide significant outdoor space for pre-games, have fans lining up in dry conditions, etc, etc.
I drive by the old Olympic Stadium in Munich fairly often and it still feels like an iconic structure.
I think most modern stadiums are extraordinarily impressive, and while the construction at the Etihad is impressive, the stadium is getting a bit of the Frankenstein treatment Maine Road got.
I’m a big fan of symmetry in design, and I find the exterior attachments being built at the Etihad to detract from the experience of the traditional “bowl” and roofline. Now, I understand the best stadium in America, which is SoFi Stadium in L.A. isn’t symmetrical and has the same kind of “stretched fabric” tent look of the new Swamp, but it is spectacular in its execution.
The hotel and fan zone at the Etihad don’t look to have been integrated as aesthetically as they might otherwise have been.
Fuck knows mate, the twelfth of never probablyWhat we thinking then - international break for an announcement?
Well there doesn't seem much point if its endless negativityOk Marvin, it’s a fair cop. I shouldn’t have joined the forum on the day it started. It’s been a hellava run.
Knobhead!
I saw that but I then checked and she is sitting on the independent commission panel but you've not heard that from me !
I Donny know about thatFuck knows mate, the twelfth of never probably
No. There’s no such thing as “tempting fate” of course but leaving yourselves open to ridicule is a pretty daft thing to do.Should we temp fate and start a thread of how we’re going to celebrate when we beat the PL on these charges?
Any sign of white smoke from Big Steve's chimney ?
Lol, wtf are you on about? You do remember that it was designed for the Commonwealth Ganes right?Yep. City could have built anything in any shape, and they chose a mishmash lego set that looks like something my 5 year old would have made, with a blindfold on.
Iconic it will never be.
Such a shame, that.
I think you're in the wrong thread, Jim :-)Please keep to the subject of the thread, namely the work going on at CITY'S stadium. If you feel that you have to discuss the rags' proposed new stadium, please do so in the utd thread in the general forum.
