F1 2025 Season

Hamilton 5th in practice when the other car driver got first is it because he ain't used to the car? Still has qualifications to go, just thinking had his age caught up with him?
 
I know everyone seems to think Norris has a chance of winning the drivers. Piastri looked good last season done him to win 5 races this season. I think this season will have multiple winners again.
Also with Lewis if he has a sniff he will get a couple of wins just Ferrari can go from 1 extreme to the other.
Also a outsider Alonso to win 2 races 17/1 I thought Adrian Newey was involved in this car but only found out after the bet he wasn't schoolboy error.

Actually got a sneaky bet on Piastri to win the drivers championship at 7/1. Think they definitely have the best car so it's a toss of a coin as to who starts the season better and is ahead by the time they decide to favour one driver (which will be a lot earlier in the year after the debacle of having two number 1 drivers way too late into the season last time).
 
Had, Ant, Law, Doo, Bea, Bor. All these new names i need to remember to forget.

I couldn't really put a name on whose to win the drivers championship; Leclerc, Verstappen, Russell, Norris and Piastri all have shout, so consistency is going to be more key than ever. McLaren look the most likely to win the Constructors having two solid drivers.
 
Norris flagging up a worry about cars performing way better on low fuel load than when full.

He’s spent about two hours driving that car which handles totally different on turn in and through the corner to the Merc. Give him a chance, I’d think you’ll be able to judge his pace by race 4-5.

Leclerc was 0.2 seconds faster than Hamilton who’s been at Ferrari for a good few years which shows they both hit about par for where the car is this weekend. Thought they would be closer to Norris and Piastri, Verstappen could have a chance tomorrow though.

If it rains then he’s shown that sadly he’s got far more bottle than the two McLaren drivers.

Always seems to be a Sunday car Verstappen’s Red Bull where no matter where he starts he can drive away from everyone. The safety car will probably be doing some laps at some point tomorrow as well, the lottery of where you are on the track when it happens to pit will come into play.
 
Fantastic qualifying session. Really shows how tight the margins are this season.

Hope Norris can hook up the start tomorrow and Piastri does his job in trying to keep Verstappen at bay.

Hilarious to see Liam Lawson soil his pissy knickers. Fuck Marko, Horner and the rest of those arrogant bellends in that team.

I wasn’t even a big Ricciardo fan but he’d have been a much better appointment.

Bortoleto is one to watch, looks a hell of a talent.

Lewis has chipped about half a second out of the gap to LeClerc from testing to practice to qualifying.

That’s very impressive and if anyone should be worried about the standings today it’s Charles.

Lewis will finish ahead of him in the drivers championship come the end of the season IMO.

I like Charles but he’s a very peaky driver. Over the course of a season the relentless brutal consistency of Hamilton (assuming the car behaves) is almost impossible to beat.

Personally I think Ferrari got rid of the wrong driver but that’s just me.
 
Interesting 1st QS.

My pick for #1 this year is anyone but the **** in the Redbull. Can't stand him.

Hamilton may be a rolling development driver for Ferrari this year. Can't see him having the peak physical reaction times anymore to challenge for the top.

The kids in Redbull and Merc will have a steep learning curve.
 
Also want to say that six different teams in the top 7 makes for a fantastic season to come.

Special mention to my buddy Jack Doohan, great Q3 pace and was h lucky with the Lewis spin and traffic in Q2. Feel sorry for the lad after seeing how Flavio (the ****) talks to him on D2S and how he’s likely to lose his seat after 4-6 races. He’s showing great mental resilience in my honest opinion.

How Briatore, someone who was banned from the sport and is a convicted cheat, is even allowed to attend races let alone work for the team he cheated with is beyond comprehension.

Drive To Survive is a stupid programme aimed at people who enjoy cheesy Netflix dramas - not real F1 fans. This season particularly annoyed me as they've dumbed it down and distorted the truth even more than they usually do. They made it out that Briatore was somehow found not guilty of cheating, which isn't true at all. The lifetime ban punishment was overturned and they agreed a financial settlement - but Briatore wasn't in any way found "not guilty". He just paid them off.

It's astonishing that somehow this season Christian Horner has managed to not be the biggest **** in the paddock. Takes some doing that.

Alpine/Renault are a clown show - look at the way they scapegoated Otmar recently. I'll take his version of events over theirs any day. Likewise Piastri clearly thought fuck these idiots, I'm off to go and work with some grownups at McLaren.

Doohan will obviously get binned off for Colapinto in a few races. I hope he finds a seat at a better team, he seems like a decent lad and a decent driver.
