Talk of the independent football regulator being scrapped this morning. Rumours growing in political circles with political editors hearing it's gone. No public mention of it by politicians in weeks and the treasury minister deflected 3 times when asked about it this morning.

Makes no difference to City, I think, but it would be good for football if it happens, imho. Let's see. Not sure what the Treasury Minister knows about it. Not sure what he knows about the Treasury, tbh.
