PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Pannick, goes to the same working men’s club as a friend of mine.
He’s told him the verdict is delayed because they’re still arguing over who’s paying for the sandwiches which were provided at lunch during the hearing.
I hope they cut the crusts off for them.

Clive Myrie is hosting a bbc podcast about City and the legal case.

This is the kind of comments he’s getting for being open about the fact he’s a massive life long blue.

Sorry if this has been raised before - I don’t read this thread - but has anyone listened to this series?

Is it worth a listen if so? Myrie is a City fan
It's quite a good and balanced podcast. Not anti City as I expected !!! Has some true blues contributions from the likes of David Bernstein and Nedum Onuoha. Worth a listen on a rainy day IMO

It started off well. Lots of memorable moments from our history. When they got onto our charges, I felt they'd already made their minds up on our guilt. Lots of air time to a Der Speigal journalist and painting Rui Pinto into some modern-day martyr, whilst City were not available for comment. For BBC balance, we had some City fans, with no knowledge of the case.

The choice of 'experts' in the final episode was simply appalling. Surprised Clive agreed to be involved, I wouldn't have bothered listening if they had advertised who was on it.

I do hope we will be found innocent of the main charges at least.

would be so fun to se rival fans to suck ass and eat shit as media successfully brainwashed lot of them and no wonder they fully expect us to be sent back multiple divisions and into the dark ages for all the alleged cheating. lots of fans are exactly like Nick Harris, adamant that we will be done and done badly.

It will ALL be innocent but the PL will be after one or two crap charges trying to save face

But it's out of the PL hands an independent jury will decide/already has they won't side with the PL unless we r guilty I even think the non cooperation charges will be found fruitless too.

I'd agree. Non cooperation in relation to what, exactly? What have other clubs given that we haven't? My educated guess would be nowt.

The only thing they could moan about is City, or our related parties, not giving them full open access to pour over accounts or information that we're under no obligation to divulge, something I think no other club has ever been asked to do either to show compliance with these rules, just so they could find something anything, to charge us with.

There are going to be some very upset red-washed fans and journalists out there very soon. Don't be surprised when they decry the findings to save face, out of jealousy, out of frustration, and out of realisation.

It won't matter one jot the intelligence, experience or legitimacy of the panel to them if they don't get the result they want. They'll continue to claim it's all unfair and a conspiracy, whilst ignoring the real problem in the system, themselves. Which suits us just fine as both a football club and a business.

Even if we get a huge victory in this case they’ll just say we bought the lawyers. Can’t win either way.
