Vast majority of our academy nowadays are local lads in the system since primary school age, or signed from other UK academies. So hard to think who they might be sniping at, especially since they mention England youth players

There are 3 names mentioned on that reddit link (I won't repeat them here) and the City player does play for England U16's (from his pictures I wouldn't say he looks overage though). Also seems to be the cousin of Baleba at BHA.

Etoo was much older than he let on. I heard of a young lad went over to united and they done a bone density test on him and discovered he was a few years older than he said. So doubt this is true

Its been going on for years. Lad i went to school with was a YTS at blackburn (just before Dalgleish took over).
Another YTS lad there was ripping up the youth leagues.
Blackburn were about to offer him a full pro contract, but had him age tested just prior to it.
Turns out the test estimated he was at least 23 yrs old.

Something similar happened with the scousers years ago. They bought a youth player from one of the NW clubs (Bury or Oldham I think) and it turned out he was a few years older than his passport said he was.


Part of a much bigger problem we have in the UK this but I daren't say anything on Bluemoon as I don't want to be accused of having a threesome with Farage and Trump.

Within schools & social work circles, its a well known exploit.
The main reason its done is to enable the kids to catch up on the poor education they received (or lack of education) in their native countries, before they moved here

Argyle signed West in 2005 as a “31” year old. It was worked out he was probably 43. To be fair he did alright in his 4 appearances.
