PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

To be fair to me (which I know is a long shot as this is Bluemoon), I would never in a million years come into this thread and say anything with such certainty unless I had it from the horse's mouth so to speak. I sort of regret posting it already, but equally if someone else in my position had posted it, I'd be grateful to know.
Grateful for the info mate. Will stop me checking this bloody thread endlessly. Any bona fide info is welcome no matter the content, positivity or indeed negativity.

Feels like an incredibly unique situation for the panel due to the public interest. I wonder whether the time it's taking is a reflection of the panel's awareness at how heavily scrutinised their decision will be not just by the two sets of lawyers, but the public as well.
The vast majority of the public won't scrutinize it, they'll just hit "Ctrl + f" and look for how many times the word guilty comes up and ignore the "not"

If the independent panel were to find us guilty against all odds, I don’t think it would mean that His Excellency Khaldoon Al Mubarak would step down as chairman. We will never admit guilt, no matter how strong the evidence may be.

No, nobody inside City has heard anything since the hearings ended in December.

Thanks. In that case, unless Pannick and co keep the draft award completely to themselves when they hear it (which I think unlikely), I find it hard to imagine us hearing anything worthwhile this week at a minimum. Nothing sinister to be read into that, IMO, but it seems a fair assumption on this basis that nothing is even close to being imminent.

Well I was hoping it'd not break when I was without data on a cruise then end of Feb/start of March........and here we are, no further forward in real terms since the 20th of so last month apart from a few hopeful soft signals.

From the last few pages it could pop tomorrow at 9.00 or after the season ends!!!!

Not sure if your knowledge of equine anatomy needs revision - there is no way on God's blue earth that City and the PL don't have the panel's verdict by now. You & your mate can wear the T shirt with pride

just to play a little devils advocate, its curious why pep put a time frame on the decision in his press conference if nobody has heard anything at all since the hearings ended, if there is zero indication like you say it seems weird to just pluck an arbitrary date from nowhere dont you think?

The expectation was always that it would take 8-12 weeks after the hearing ended. The club expected it to have dropped by now but it hasn't, so the wait goes on for everyone.

fair play, just seems an unnecessary complication to put a date on it when there has been zero indication of it.

To be fair I’m not sure I’d trust Rudd Van Nisteroy as a decent source

Nobody with an ounce of professional self respect would ever want to release a widely disseminated document into the public domain without it being as perfect as it can be, and that will be the case on steroids here.

Yeah that's my gut feeling on why it's taking as long as it's taking. As nerve shredding as it can feel for the people in this thread or City supporters at large. Imagine being the executives at the club and the board. No matter your confidence about how the commission went, the anxiety until there's a decision must be pretty intense. You are, no matter how strong your case, at the whim of the 3 person panel.

The size of the case (no. of issues) is also relevant.

All the talk about the timeline does not negate the soft signals some of which may flow from the conduct of the case. On Friday another claim was thrown into the mix by Ben McCabe @benjani7:

'Just to add a bit of drama / excitement to the party The Premier League is currently undertaking a (not so now) confidential review of its senior leadership team currently with an executive search firm. A confidential C level search in fact. Make of that what you will ;-)'

that is not correct, we are still in Pep's window 'in a month' includes next week and I reckon we'll all know by then what the club and PL already know. This fig leaf dance being performed by you & Billy is not really very entertaining for most on here tbh but I suppose keeps a few fingers tapping.

If we are going to be pedantic, he said 'in a month' on the 8th of February. We are a couple weeks out of that now, never mind next week.

IF, you were going to take that so literally without a pinch of salt.

Haven’t the cunts realised that I’ve got an unusually quiet week next week ffs?

Especially after the pigs ear that was made of the release of the 115 random accusations.
