A few years ago the frozen peas I buy were 99p for 1.25kg.
Around the Brexit/Covid period the bag became 1kg - but I am sure they would be keen to point out its still 99p.
Today that 99p gets you 0.75kg of peas.

As I said to the lass on the till "bloody hell Beth if this carries on you will be selling me individual frozen peas before too long"

'frozen' is the clue - this product is closely price-linked to energy prices, which have risen in UK since the Russian invasion between 50-75%, depending upon your source.
 
Trump now wants to sell corporate sponsorships for the annual Easter Egg roll at the White House. Once again, purely an idea to stoke outrage. He’s already blackmailed a law firm into providing him with $40 million in pro bono work. And once again, the gimps who were here supporting him are nowhere to be found as they piss themselves in fear and lie about how “bored” they are. They been proven exactly as dumb and/or craven and/or naive as we said they were and they can’t look themselves in the the mirror without knowing it.

I'd rather right-minded people didn't sink to MAGA levels, but could fully understand the temptation, considering how pointless it is to maintain the moral high ground in US

Why ?
There is a programme about the Australian Border Force, it's been running for years.
If they think someone is there to work illegally they examine the person's phone, computer anything . If you refuse you don't get in.
This is not actual news, the US have always done it.

Democrats have spent years trying to maintain the morale high ground. The problem now is that MAGA have no morale's, so the morale high ground means nothing to them. The issue with that is that Republican's will squeal like a stuck pig the moment Democrat's play dirty. This is why just occupying the morale high ground isn't the answer, and it never has been. You actually have to call out the bullies and articulate to the voters just how wrong their behaviour is because just saying "we're better than them" is not cutting it.
 
Bernie Sanders and AOC have got the right idea. Their ‘Fight the Oligarchs’ tour is drawing huge crowds. They position themselves not as Democrat members of Congress but as people fighting for democracy and encouraging people of all parties to join them.
The crowds would be considered decent for an election rally. Remarkable. Trump needs to be loved; this level of opposition will be driving him nuts.

Absolutely no way I'm even logging in for them. They can (politely) fuck off.

They either require a warrant, or probable cause that you have either committed or are in the process of committing a crime to be able to carry out a search of your electronic devices.
