In a normal world you would think Hegseth would be sacked either for sharing classified information by non secure means, or for lying about it when he's been found out.

We know politicians lie, but when they're caught out in such an obvious and blatant lie I don't see how they can survive.

But we are where we are, and I suspect this will all just go away without anyone being held accountable.

People like Neil are knowledgeable in terms of being academically smart, but they often struggle to make informed judgment because they have a very isolated point of view. They don't seem to understand that there is an actual world where real people live outside of their media or politics bubble and they rarely, if at all consider the second and third order effects of political decisions.
