Russian invasion of Ukraine

Stupid question (maybe), but why has the argument turned into that the war being a stalemate is bad for Ukraine?
I think it more depends, on where you are hearing that argument from really ? "Stalemate" is good for the Ukraine, and (despite western media comments), they are regaining some lost land in places.

As for your last question, I doubt anyone is "happy" as such, but it was all "over in 3 days", 3 years ago, so I think that has a pretty clear answer.

Sadly they are still losing personnel daily, and I'm sure they wish that wasn't the case, not to mention the many thousands displaced from near the frontlines, but while the russians are indiscrimantly bombing schools (Sumy yesterday), they have no choice but to fight, the only other option is surrender.

Stupid question (maybe), but why has the argument turned into that the war being a stalemate is bad for Ukraine? I can't think of many historical examples where the pressure has been on the invaded to break any form of stalemate? It's funny how things have turned, when Russia invaded Ukraine back in February 2022, who do you think would have been happier if they were offered the current situation at that exact time?
Fantastic point, although tempered somewhat by the far higher regard that Ukraine has for its military personnel than Russia, who frankly don’t give a fuck about their fallen.

Notwithstanding that caveat, the answer to your question is undoubtedly Ukraine.

Who'd have guessed it...
The Moscow delegation is seeking to gain complete control of four Ukrainian regions - Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.

I'm hearing that Ukraine lost ground in Kherson BRCAUSE of the USA stopping intellrgence information and disabling military GPS within Russian borders.
Yes Ukraine had recon and attack drones But the intellegence on troop movements were gone
AND the loss of GPRS prevented HIMARS taking out troop concentrations away from the front lines so Russia could apply more force to critical attacks.

Peace negotiations between yanks and ruskies not to be made public. That will please both sides
Always find that funny, as it suggest that it is actually the US that are at war. Forget the country that has been invaded and is actually fighting for its life and its people.
Of course if Trump gets his Nobel prize then it will be the biggest and best Peace prize in history...but will have well and truly fucked over the Ukrainians.

No statement to me made - Could it possibly be that Trump is having a hump as Putin said no?
Then Putin rolled out the ICBMs on drills to scare Trump into doing - well - nothing really.

Of course they don’t want what’s being discussed aired in public. Russia and Trump should be ashamed at discussing how they will divvy up Ukraine for their own interests and, Europe should be ashamed at allowing it to happen.

Until Russia just carry on and tell everyone they didn't...

The bigger issue I have is why the fuck are the US basically helping the cunts with a revenue stream?

It’s not just pro Russia, will help Ukraine get their grain out - although I’m not sure how much of that there is. That said I fully agree with your sentiment.

Nobody seriously believes that Trump is going to get a Nobel Peace Prize. Ever!

What do you think europe could do to stop trump/US talking to putin/russia ? zero, zilch, nada.

I had hoped something positive might come from it all, but it looks highly unlikely now, especially with lavrov saying the US should "demand" that ukraine agree to anything they want.

Black Sea ceasefire agreed.
There's been a "ceasfire" in the Black Sea, since Ukraine sank some ships, and they all scuttled home to port, where they were still sinking periodically. It's not actually a ceasefire, they just don't want any more ships sinking, as they can't be replaced other than building new ones.

Basically they lost a sea war, to a nation with no real ships, just some clever tech, and long range missiles.

Whatever the agreement it won't stop the russians launching glide bombe from in the air, from well behind the frontline.
