He's not a top 3 right back in the Premier League ffs. He was rightly behind Walker for years for England, and would have been behind James too if he wasn't injured all the time. I don't actually resent the dippers for winning the title this year, they've been the better team over the season so fair play to them. But I know I will absolutely loathe the inevitable media sycophancy that will be turned up several notches when they do. Every newspaper, broadsheet and tabloid, will go into mega-overdrive: interviews with players past and present (yes, Spitty, I am looking at you). They will be interviewing 'celebrity' supporters (probably both of them), and the fawning, grovelling, obsequious TV pundits will be going above and beyond themselves in order to ingratiate themselves with both the club and the revolting, barbarian savages that follow the club.

An apocalypse will occur when the final whistle is blown in their last game of the season. We have been warned.

TAA like Sterling did wants to leave to progress his career, and you can't knock him for that. Obviously the cult are n't happy, but if you have the chance to join Madrid then not many players will turn them down.
