City Announces Global Partnership with Viagogo

As far as I can tell, from the press release, this covers just hospitality tickets. So, in effect the club's ultimate goal here from a strategy of profitability, would be to re-package any and all standard returns as offsite/campus hospitality, where there's no requirement for padded seats tickets?

Worst case scenario, ALL ST returns end up on Viagogo as Official offsite/campus match day experiences. Let's see.

That would be as effective as United fans wearing yellow and green scarves to matches. The Glazers, and all Premier League boards, won't give a shiny shit as long as their pockets are lined again.
Correct.
United.
Spurs.
Arsenal.
Chelsea.
The PL
Etc.

All these billionaire club owners aren't bothered. They have enough money, and tourists, to weather any legacy fan protest. That includes Mansour and Khaldoon.

Danny Wilson is an utter gentleman! I don’t mind people swearing but could and would never agree with your statement as he has been a great help to me when needed from the very first time I had to complain about a despicable City fan. Along with our very own Boss man Ric he restored my faith in what a gentleman is and can be. So, I will always defend Danny Wilson. Sorry @mexico1970 and @Cellarite :-) :-)

To be fair I didn't make the statement I just explained what it meant :)

Individuals can only speak from personal experience.

My experience of discussing 'moving away fans' with Danny was very positive.

He was straight, professional, knowledgeable and polite.

He has a boss(s) to answer to and, like most of us in working life, will agree with some decisions from above, and disagree with others.

As a professional, he carries out his duty or resigns on principle.

He is a very highly regarded football professional.

That doesn't really explain your support for this latest 'initiative' by the club though does it. Yes, people complain about stuff, it's hardly a new phenomena, but do you really support this touting by the club, or are you just being onside to troll others?
Its my opinion, just like you have one.

our execs are so tone deaf or purposely and wilfully being cunts

Refusimg to engage fans over tickets and the issues with ticketing sites, then signing up a partnership with the worst ticket touts about
You know why.

Because the DIRECTORS know they aren't going to fill a 62,000 stadium on a regular basis, so they have had to go back to the biggest and worst ticket touting company to try and sell more tickets.

I thought you had been banned?

Did City win the 115 case?

Oh heck, I’m not doing very well here am I? I apologise for my error.

I guess I was just too quick to spring to his defence and, as I’ve already done with @Cellarite, ended up offending other BlueMooners. Sorry again. :-)

I’m now going to lie down in a darkened room until my blushes and mortification subside! :-) ;-)

I suppose that's one possible positive but the wider implications of signing up with yet another ticketing partner smacks of the club ignoring the much-publicised concerns of fans
At best it's absolutely fucking tone deaf. At worst it's two fingers up to loyal fans. The club could sell these packages themselves and at least there would be some modicum of control over them.

When CM started, we discussed ticket agencies and I believe we had some arrangement with Viagogo then, which we weren't happy about. If we didn't, they were certainly offering tickets for resale without authorisation, which was against the law. They are legalised touts even with authorisation.

The club said they had arrangements with a number of other travel partners, as they have now, but I checked and found many others offering tickets who weren't authorised. If they're outside the UK though there's little the club can do legally. It didn't take me long to find these other sellers yet the club seemed unaware of them, despite the fact they must have been sending tickets to them as it was pre-digital ticketing.

As "legacy" fans, we all love being in a packed noisy stadium. But the club is gradually pissing off the very people who'll turn up regardless and make some noise.

I actually now hope that there are ten or fifteen thousand empty seats for a midweek game against a bottom three club, and you can hear the players shouting to each other. Because then it might dawn on our MBA-holding directors and executives that they've fucked up. But by then it'll be too late.

How would a 15 minute boycott work? Before, during or at the end?
No one would notice a boycott at the end, it would just look like every other game as the early leavers exercise their collective right to fuck off early!!

Fans stay on the concourse until 8pm (missing the first 15 minutes of the game).
But where I sit they are still coming in up to 15/20 minutes after ko anyway. Maybe we could all have a mass walkout at 40 minutes on the clock. Everyone leaving together would be more noticeable?

EDIT:
Whoops that should be 30 minutes on the clock! Fat fingers on the iPad!
