City Announces Global Partnership with Viagogo

Yeah, erm, fuck this.

"In addition, the Club will work with viagogo to leverage the platform’s extensive data intelligence on ticketing purchasing habits to gain a deeper understanding of City’s local and global fanbase, allowing the Club to tailor future ticketing solutions and services to better serve supporters"
There is nothing more to "understand" about local fans. Many have been priced out and that has been made crystal clear on many occasions by fans representatives.

Unless they know the 115 case result is imminent and positive. That will bury this one
I'm not sure how "115" affects this. I don't know of anyone who has stopped attending due to "115" so we're not going to entice anyone back, and we're already struggling to sell out when playing less attractive opponents.

I'm a so called legacy fan, been attending since 72.
Probably sack away games off next season purely down to cost, will keep S/T.
I don’t think this is about filling the stadium and creating a great atmosphere, it's all about revenues and they will increase wether it's full or not.
I run a small business and understand the importance of revenue and when an opportunity arises to increase it I'd be mad not to.
Yes it's nowhere near as good as it used to be on match days but it's just the way of the world.
The demographic round me SS1 changes game to game.
It's a business not a sport ROI is crucial to beable to survive.

Haven't read the thread so apologies if I’m on repeat, but now we know what the last12 months have been about, a trial run to encourage one of the ticketing firms to jump on board. What is it with this club ?
If there’s a 15 minute boycott for the Leicester game, can we get the guy who missed Vinny’s thunderbastard to sit in his seat (providing he hasn’t been priced out) for theatrical effect

Just wait till they start selling packages for a weekend concert for 2 with a hotel stop and there's a game on, yor gonna need a match ticket for the missus ( bit sexist) aswell, who probably doesn't give a shit about football.
KURCHING.

The club has recently stated how many tickets go to 3rd party sites if this number doesn’t rise what’s the problem

I was referring to the timing of the viagogo press release. It is negative news for most City fans and I wondered if the club put it out this week because they thought a positive 115 result would overshadow it in the media.

It won't be a problem if it is only corporate tickets. The problem will be if they start eating into away allocations and also have an impact of pushing ticket prices up in general. If the club were open and transparent about where all tickets were allocated it would probably not be a big issue. The fear is that we will turn into LFC where there are very few season tickets and (despite the media propaganda) the stadium is packed with plastic tourists and the atmosphere is usually dire (worse than the Etihad in my view) for routine matches.

Yes. Does anyone have any faith left that if they can flog big home game tickets or aways in the future that they won’t though?
