Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

Upsets me big time what the club have done in regards to pricing out our core support. We have definitely reached the tipping point now. In our group , we have gone from a solid group of 15 lads to 2 or 3 of us. Simply down to lads being priced out and lost the habit of going to games . Been listening to a few podcasts such as 93;30 and Ian Cheesenan talking about the situation and it breaks my heart out to listen about of all of the ‘good will’ from the likes of 1894 group , the foodbank and the likes of Alex from City matters and the club continue to ignore our pleas .
I can’t shake off my ritual of going games and luckily have a season ticket but I’m completely falling out of love with the whole game . The match day buzz has completely gone . Seeing memories pop up on my Facebook feed of City fans in Barcelona having a ball dancing in fountains and the first few trips to Wembley etc… them days just seem to have evaporated . Felt jealous watching the Geordies last week, just reminded me of the Stoke game . We’re still quite vocal in block 111 but it’s a shadow of its former self , the concourse used to always be bouncing with songs . Don’t even hear any songs being sang anymore even for Derby Day .
This to me is a bigger issue than the pricing.
I can handle a bit of an increase in price (appreciate that some can not) but the sterile atmosphere we have is what will stop me going eventually.
I was sat at the Brighton game and said to the person next to me I could have watched it at home and it would have been exactly the same.

Yea price is an issue but I could live with it as I'm lucky to have an inheritance.
The think that is mostly putting me of is the match attendance. After 6hrs in the car I want to be sat with my lad surrounded by City fans and watch a good game.
Now it's 50-50 if you get City fans around you and the park the bus teams bore me senseless

Thought it earlier in the year, but apart from the odd trip - thats me done

Leicester and Wolves tickets have gone back .....

Leicester we win- well so we should right?? Lose it's pants......either way it will be flat.
Wolves when they decide what day we KO is a bank holiday weekend so travelling up will be horrendous and the hotels are a terrible price and don't even bother with British rail.

I just can't justify the price, I don't feel welcome as a "day tripper" (from reading comments on here) - and even stupid stuff like getting searched going to Mary D's v Brugge while loads walked through annoyed me.

Coming up from Devon means booking hotels are becoming expensive, used to be able to bag a bargain even if it meant staying across the city - these are few and far between now.

I only manage 10 or so games, so I don't suppose I will be missed.....shame

Especially if the die hards from other parts of the Country get sick of being called tourists and day trippers

Again, day trippers tripping for one day taking in the swamp in the same trip. Nobody but nobody it referencing real blues in that way.

Maybe I’m late to this here, and not that I care about the rags fans at all but their season ticket prices have just gone up again. It’s happening everywhere.. it’s a joke.

They've not had 11 consecutive season ticket price rises yet like we have.

And their season ticket prices rises are now happening to pay off the Glazers debts.

We don't have any debt as such. Certainly not £1bill worth of debt.

It's a bit daft to think it referred to people who actually use the man city forum.

The point is anyone who posts on this forum is a legacy fan and the club want you gone.

I've stood near people from Norway, south America and china just this year who watch via their phone, nevermind the opposition fans cheering in a 3. I don't think they've posted here much.
This forum is full of people who couldn’t raise a chant against Brighton. I along with a few nippers outsung the South Stand. I guess they was all the fault of Norwegians, South American and Chinese!

That said, there needs to be a lot more happening to maintain local families and youths in the ground.

You don't know that do you? All I see is you constantly have a go at blues and support tourists.

It's like you work for the fucking club or something :)

I know what you are. That doesn’t take much working out. Everyone’s a tourist in your book. It’s pretty sad.

As for working for the club, I’m prepared to criticise the senior manager who endorsed shameless deals like this Vianogo one. Very few people on here are and I think I know why.
.

If you don't understand what a tourist is then you're as small minded as you seem to be, keep on attacking match going blues because I know what YOU are.

Why slag off city fans as your MO? I have no idea where you most likely sit, but you are getting very toxic and divisive, and blame every other fan but yourself.

The south stand from 111 to 119 was quite vocal that day, no matter what the WUMS say, If we had won you would not be crying.

It is a shame success determines support.

He does it all the time, and he hates being picked up on it. One whiff of complaining about blues being overlooked for tickets and he calls people racist.

Attacking city fans for tourists and day trippers, you're part of the problem. Why do you keep supporting tourists? are you a tourist?

I know why you do it because you've said it so often, you're not really a blue.
Hahahahahahahaha

You do realise Mexico isn’t in Manchester lol
