My old fella and uncle used to watch both teams regular when they played at home in the mid 1950's.From the many replies most went to both grounds in the 50’s rather than the 60’s.
Perhaps not a myth then but well done those who stopped going to the swamp!
That's OK.well, if it's confession time...
when city weren't at home
and my mother wouldn't yet allow me to go to away games,
i used to go to spotland,
and if the dale weren't at home, boundary park.
so there.
Seems legit…

My first ST was in 78 in the North Stand, there was a few of the older generation who sat near us that said went to both.Like you I don't remember that at all, memories can play tricks on us but I do definitely remember what I remember.
Maybe some people did go to both grounds regularly but I don't know anyone who did and was a City supporter.
boundary park must've been about a mile or so from you?We used to go and watch the Aces. Occasionally we would go to Boundary park.
Rochdale were shit.
The Chosen Few, or Rochdale Mashers as they liked to believe.boundary park must've been about a mile or so from you?

rochdale were shit but they had the best pie'n'peas on a tray i've ever had at a footy ground
Only time I visited the swamp was the away end at the Derby hahaIf nothing else, this thread is rooting out some right wrong ‘uns. “I went to OT but it wasn’t frequently.”
“Duncan Edwards was a marvellous player.”
“I went with my red mates and it was a right laugh.”
Get to fuck.
Wonder if they are a bit wary of banging on about the 115 charges for some reason? Still, they can easy find something else to hit us with -could this season get any weirder![]()
Haaland 'left Man City mascot with whiplash' after hit to back of head

Pep says nobody at City deserves a bonus (just because we haven’t done another treble??)
City fans at war with club over ticket sales
On & on it goes.
4.5 miles according to google maps. We could sit on the hill above Medlock rd. and hear the Aces. Centre of the universe.boundary park must've been about a mile or so from you?

I think that Sir Matt Busby was utds' greatest manager ever.Hi, Shirley. My dad had a spell going one week to City, next to the rags with his mate. Both Blues. When I asked him about it many years later, he explained they went because of the City link with Busby and the ‘babes’ were a good team to watch. But he also noted it was a different atmosphere at OT, less humour, a little more ‘intense’. I don’t recall him ever saying anything about actual violence.
When the Munich air crash happened, he said attendances went through the roof and it was a lot more difficult getting in. Think they went twice more and sacked it off; just City from then on.
Not a 'myth', but pre-60's though so maybe different...
Aaaaarggh!I still support City and Manchester United.
Fuck me... Just read the article and had too admit to myself, what a fantastic piece of investigative journalism it was.could this season get any weirder![]()
