Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

I'm hoping to get over for a game before the end of the season. But it'll probably be my last game. Between air fares, train fares (Liverpool to Manchester return), accommodation and the actual ticket, it's getting impossible to justify the outlay for one game.

F*cking tourist! ;-)

I'll take you on a tour of the city centre towers. :-)

And buy you a scoop.

West of Ireland (Mayo). The most convenient flight is from Knock airport (10 minutes' drive from me) into Liverpool Airport. Then get the train from South Parkway into Piccadilly. Just lookedn a single can bé had for as little as 3:50 stg.

I had two games booked and paid for but it seems both will/have been moved. Villa might be moved but for some bizarre reason wolves game moved to Friday night game.

With all the hassle of queueing on line for hours, cost of tickets, cant get tickets to sit with my lad, travel time and tv companies moving games. It's getting to the stage it's just not worth it any more in time and money

Fuck me fair effort that pal.
I moaned when I was going that I sat in traffic on the a6 for 20 minutes.
Fair play to you mate.
Fucking tourists :)

I'll barely have time. It's the Wolves game I'm looking at. If I'm lucky, I'll get into Piccadilly station around 5, and I'll be meeting someone. And I'll need to be back in Liverpool for just after midday on the saturday. But I do appreciate the offer. Seriously. I'm not being sarky. Nothing is 100% confirmed yet, anyway. I'd say 75-25 that I will be over.

In my defence, I spent my first 20 years in Manchester (Moss Side, then Longsight). That's when I latched on to "Citeh". I'm what's called a plastic paddy. There's probably UK based blues who have at least as difficult a trek. Maybe up from Cornwall or down from Aberdeen. They're not easy trips. Bit cheaper, maybe!

True.
My best mate.
Who unfortunately isn't with us anymore his family grew up just outside Dublin.
His dads family moved over to burnage.
Where he met his misses who's family were from Ireland as well not sure where.
We used to have an coach trip every year from the local pub to Dublin to watch shamrock rovers .
City used to play them in a pre season friendly some years when I was a nipper
I the area they were from was inchicore we had some brilliant nights in the local bar there
We never had to buy a Guinness .
Fantastic people

Too busy on their phones...

The amount of people that are sat around me with phones in their hands for large amounts of the games in quite remarkable.

Exactly, most people young and old are scrolling through Facebook and social media right up to kick off ,showing the person their with what so and so is up to on his holiday, laughing at some clip - it’s completely taken away the build up for the match.

Perhaps the most surprising entry on the list, Tottenham Hotspur somehow find themselves fourth here – the second-highest of all Premier League clubs at the moment, despite never winning that particular trophy (or any other silverware since 2008 for that matter).

Met a bunch of Mayo boys in Belgrade, top lads. They were mutual friends of a pal of mine from Sale.

Some night that was.

Gas and electricity bills are increasing again for millions of households on 1 April, when the latest energy price cap takes effect.

The annual bill for a household using a typical amount of gas and electricity is going up to £1,849 per year, an increase of £111.

A series of essential household bills are rising at the start of April, with warnings that single parents are among the hardest hit.

Water bills, energy prices and council tax are all going up in what has been dubbed "awful April", although the minimum wage is also increasing.

The charity Citizens Advice said the finances of millions of people on the lowest incomes were "already stretched to breaking point".
